Preparation for Worship

When God’sWord goes out, as when snow or rain falls from heaven, it fulfills God’s purpose (Isaiah 55:10-11). May God’s Word quench our thirst and nourish our faith.


Announcements Heck-Jones Offering - The week of prayer for Heck-Jones is February 11-17, but we will collect your offering throughout the month of February. Upward Awards Night - Tuesday, February, 5th at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary with each player receiving a special gift. There will be a dessert gathering immediately following. Last games of the season will be Saturday, February 2nd beginning at 9:00 am. Pre-registration for the 2013-14 season will be available for those interested. Youth Super Bowl Party - Today at 6:00 pm at the Peterson’s home. Properties Committee Meeting - Thursday, February 7th at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. Deacon’s Meeting - Sunday, February 10th at 5:00 pm in the Conference Room. TwoGreen Thumbs Garden Club - Monday, February 11th at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Angelic Minister’s Circle Meeting - Tuesday, February 12th at 7:00 pm. Philathea Sunday School Class Meeting - Thursday, February 14th at 10:00 am. Youth Winter Jam - Saturday, February 16th at 6:00 pm in Greensboro. Senior Adult Valentine Banquet - Sunday, February 17th immediately following worship in the Fellowship Hall.


Announcements Cemetery Committee Meeting - Monday, February 18th at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. The “Backpack Buddies” program is an ongoing ministry KBC has with Knightdale Elementary School. Plastic bags, used to distribute the food, are not needed at this time, but there is an urgent need for food items the pantry shelves are extremely low.

Wednesday Night Fellowship Meal February 13th from 5:30 - 6:30 pm (Arrival anytime between 5:30 and 6:30 pm)

The menu is: Oven Roasted BBQ Chicken Breast, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Rolls, Homemade Desserts and Beverages (Cheese Pizza always available) The cost is: adults (10-up) $5.00, children (4-9) $2.00 and children 3 and under free. Maximum family cost is $20.00. Reservations/cancellations must be made by noon on Monday, February 11th. Call the church office to make reservations or complete the Wednesday Night section on the “Welcome Guest” slip and drop it in the offering plate. Make sure to write your name on the slip.

Attention KBC Parents: If you have a child participating in children’s worship, please make sure they are picked up at the end of the church service by a parent or adult. The children’s worship leaders will only allow children to be picked up by a parent or adult from the nursery, toddler, 2-3 year old, 4-5 year old, or 6-7 year old classrooms. We love our children at KBC and want to ensure their safety!
