Flap disc offers at least 20 times longer life a) Fewer disc changesovers equals less downtime. You not only get longer life per disc, you also can cut down on the number of grits required for the job. (I.E. ordinarily if you use a 24 or 36 grit fiber disc to bump off a weld and a 40 grit to polish, you can use ONLY the 40 grit and it will both bump and polish the weld.)

SMT 624 The abrasive mop disc SMT 624 is the result of consistent development work. This SMT is an abrasive tool with improved ergonomics. Through the optimised convexity the SMT 624 is particularly suitable for deburring, chamfering and grinding of edges. KLINGSPOR CMT QUICK CHANGE FLAP DISC KLINGSPOR is pleased to offer the most efficient and most innovative flap disc ever - the CMT. This is a quick-change version of our industry-leading flap discs. The concept is a tremendous breakthrough for the metal grinding and finishing community. Production shops will greatly benefit with even less downtime and an increase in productivity. How does it work? Simply affix the diecast backing plate to your angle grinder using a standard locking nut and leave it there. Then the CMT "loadings" are locked into place with a quick turn of the wrist. No tools are necessary to accomplish the task, which only takes seconds. When a new grinding surface is needed or when grits need to be changed, twist the CMT off and put a new one on. No more fumbling with the grinder’s locking nut each time - twist on, twist off. The CMT also offers an extremely safe operating environment. The fiber-reinforced plastic on the back of the CMT guarantees maximum stability with an approved operating speed of 12,200 max. rpm.
