Mr. Bendick’s AP US History class was the first and maybe even last history class I’ve ever liked. Though thanks to Mr. Bendick, I have the causes of the revolutionary war and Ronald Reagan’s biography engrained into my memory, what he taught me and all his students far surpassed the bounds of history. I learned that being successful isn’t merely an amount but amounts to doing what you love and following your passions. From the first day I walked into his class, he’s counseled me through the stresses of school, life, and even school-life. Though no longer his student, he continues to take the time to help me as I prepare to venture out into the world and never fails to remind me of my aptitude for success in anything and everything I do. I know these tasks are far beyond his job description and I really couldn’t be more thankful. I’m so honored to have had Mr. Bendick as a teacher but also as someone who I’ll remember for the rest of my life. I guess you say that having him as a teacher was pretty “historical”.
