Artwork Requirements For each imprint method offered by Dart, an industry standard sm@rt code has been designated. These codes provide a standardized reference for the preferred artwork type for each decorating method. By providing production-ready, artwork-to-size that meets or exceeds these guidelines your orders will be produced with the highest imprint quality and you will avoid unnecessary delays. 1. All imprint processes require production-ready, artwork-to-size. Refer to the specific decorating option for the required file types. A sm@rt code designates the ideal file specification. See legend below. 2. Exact artwork size and placement must be specified before we can begin work. If size is not provided, Dart reserves the right to size art to “best fit.” 3. If production-ready, art-to-size is not provided, Dart will automatically proceed with artwork preparation at a billed cost not to exceed $40.00(G) per half hour. If more than one half hour is required your approval will be obtained before work continues. 4. Any artwork procedure performed by Dart will generate a paper proof at no additional charge. 5. Approval of paper proof limits the factory’s responsibility for errors. YOU MUST read your paper proof carefully. Production lead time does not begin until approval of all artwork/proofs. ELECTRONIC ARTWORK INFORMATION Applications: • Adobe® Illustrator® CS3 saved as .eps or .ai files • Adobe® Photoshop® CS3 • QuarkXpress® 6 accepted ONLY if saved as .eps files (Please use newest version possible when submitting art. All programs will open older versions of each program.) Preferable File Formats: .eps, all linked/imported illustrations and/or graphics included, type converted to outlines, paths or curves. Please refer to sm@rt codes for each imprint type for specific details. Email: When emailing artwork, files should not be larger than 3MB. Hard copy of art and layout should be submitted with purchase order.
