• Soak the seeds in water for 10 hours and dry under shade. Then treat the seeds with Azospirillum @ 500 g/ha seeds before sowing. • Sow the crop with 4 kg seeds/ha at 45cm to 135 cm spacing • Apply FYM (2.5 t/ha) 15 days before sowing and chemical fertilizers (50:25 kg N & P2O5) at the time of sowing. • Spray Ziram @ 2.2 g/litre of water for the control ergot disease
