Introduction I have never been the type of person that would intentionally hurt a someone by saying something vicious to their face. I always thought it seemed best to please everyone and avoid scenarios that might possibly hurt or embarrass them. Looking back, I have learned that it wasn’t always the best to ignore. In some instances it would have been better to be harsh to an individual, but with the best intention in mind. The impact might seem cruel, but the long term effect of this cruelness would have benefited them. The concept of Cruel Kindness is when an individual’s first impression of a comment is negative but then comes to find out that it was meant for the best. In this book I explored the difficulties of first impressions dealing with gruesome images to form a rebus puzzle. Once revealed, the gruesome images forms a positive saying.
“I must be cruel only to be kind; Thus bad begins, and worse remains behind.” ― William Shakespeare, Hamlet
“Cruel to be kind in the right measure Cruel to be kind it’s a very good sign Cruel to be kind means that I love you Baby, got to be cruel, you got to be cruel to be kind ” Nick Lowe, “Cruel to be Kind”
