Kings London update Move to remote teaching and learning
Following the decision of the UK Government on 18 March in response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), Kings London will temporarily move to an online delivery mode until further notice. This development is in line with all other schools in the UK.
Once the new term starts on Monday 6 April we will move to our remote teaching and learning plan, Classmate Plus, until further notice. More information about Classmate Plus is available on this separate factsheet. Exams and formal assessments for university entrance We understand that parents and students who are due to take formal exams or assessments for university entrance will be very concerned. The UK Government has announced that public exams (A-level and GCSE) will not take place as usual in May and June, but that students will still be able to receive the qualifications they need for university progression.
While we await further clarification and information on this, students should compete their courses. We will of course do everything in our power to ensure that our students are able to do so in order to proceed to university as planned. We are working closely with all relevant bodies including universities and the UK Department for Education and will communicate clear updates to you as soon as they are available.
In the meantime, we want to reassure you that no matter what the circumstances, us at Kings London will continue to do all we possibly can to provide our students with a full Kings Experience.
We have prepared this statement to provide more detail Accommodation and student services Meanwhile all students currently living in a residence will be able to stay in their accommodation as normal. We are also notifying all our local host families of the situation and will ensure they provide all necessary support to our students. Other aspects of student services will continue to operate as normal. School staff will continue to be available to respond to students’ welfare needs.
We are sure you will understand that this situation is entirely out of our control. We look forward to getting back to our usual operation as soon as possible.
The school is open until the end of term on Friday 20 March.
