Maltain is a project of a climbing centre located nearby Malta lake in the heart of Poznan. It’s a recreation area, where local peope have a chance to spend their time in active way. However within many disciplines climbing spot was always missing. Inspiration for the form of the building was natural moutain landscape. Shape of the building corresponds to the small ski slope on the opposite side of the lake. Green roof is accesible for the visitors and gives an opportunity to watch canoeing competitions from the best point of view.

Architect’s haven is a project of a single family house with office, located on Old Danube in Wien. This place combines „big city” life style with close contact with the nature. Unique topography and size of the site were inspiration to partialy overhang the house above water surface. Transportation potential of the river gave us an idea of transforming typical office room into a mobile, floating barch and let the house be a safe dock. Giving to architect possibilty to flow, search for inspiration or meet with a client in outstanding surroundings. This solution ensures perfect division of private and professional life and proves that haven could be heaven in the same time.

idea

FashionLAB is 4-storey laboratory for contemporary fashion located along Poznań Royal-Imperial Route in Chwaliszewo. Simple shape of the building and divisions of the facade are related to the sourrounding tenements. The second skin of the building is made of perforated metal panels formed in the shape of waved material. The play of light and shadows creates an unique climate inside the building and encourage people to visit the showroom. Very narrow and long size of the plot forced designing an open space plan where different levels are connected with the spiral staircase. To The aim of the project is activation of the neighobourhood, revitalisation of the district by creating a new iconic building.

Energy efficient office building Bachelor Project Poznań University od Technology 2016/17 PhD. Eng. Arch. Sławomir Rosolski

Green Office is an energy efficient office building. The aim of this project is creating a good work environment in close contact with the nature, in a manner consistent with sustainable building industry. The project does not have a plot, this is the reason why the presumption was parameterized. The center of the facility is a 3-storey representative atrium with a 10 meters high green wall inside and tilt-and-turn windows. It enables a natural ventilation of spaces and ensures a proper comfort of work environment, creating a friendly microclimate inside the building.

cultural center of Mieczewo village rural architecture design Michał Hondo Poznań University od Technology 2016 Mieczewo, Poland PhD. Eng. Arch. Dominika Pazder The main idea of Culture Center in Mieczewo village is to create a place gathering local people and encourage tourist to visit it. Complex of buildings provide a small museum, outdoor exhibition zone, multifunctional space for events, summer cinema. Inhabitants of all ages can make use of spacious loung, organize workshops, discussions or integration meetings. Inspriation for the facility was rural, genuine architecture, which we can still observe in the neighbourhood. In order to respect history of the surrounding we used traditional building materials like brick and wood.

The main concept is to create a big public space along the river. To achieve that we have expand the margins of the canal used the canal for the public use and create a passage to improve the connection to the city center We had also rearrange the traffic in the surroundings to create a calm atmosphere to enhance the experience of visiting the park. We had include the canal into the landscape of the area by creating terraces at different levels. To attract the interest of the people from the city center we have taken advantage of the possibilities of the old factories, creating an environment with green areas and sport facilities, and reintroducing the long forgotten canal as an attraction of the modern city of Brussels.

form finding The disposition of our site is more or less a square divided into two triangular sections by the canal. The north area has an open space along with sport facilities and green areas intendent for a younger citizens. In the south section in contrast with the northern one we plan a more relax environment, To achieve it we play with the possibilities that the canal gave us, creating some sitting areas for contemplation of the canal and the relaxation.

Hyphae is a branching filamentous structure of a fungus, in most fungi hyphae are the primary mode of vegetative growth, and form a network that together is called Mycelium. The Mycelium is the ever versatile and exceptionally smart fungi that forms a network through the forest floor that acts as a super highway for nutrients. For the project we specifically analyzed the mycelium as a growing structure for the design process of our geometry.
