This fortress stands on a promontory in the heart of a forested area covering 3000 hectares. Calligraphic adornments, refined architectural elements, superb menzeh, imposing domes… the stronghold hides a multitude of archaeological treasures. The Gris of Boulaouane, one of the most famous Moroccan wines, is made in this Kasbah. The grapes are handharvested at the end of August and the wine bottled and exported mostly to Europe.

Marrakech Located on the edge of the northern Sahara and at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, Marrakech’s rose-colored walls are set within lush green gardens, olive groves, palmeraies and golf courses. One of Morocco’s four Imperial Cities, its very name conjures up images of magic carpets and snake charmers - and not without reason. In many ways, the city has not changed since medieval times, with ancient souks and narrow alleyways, beautiful palaces and mosques.

The Koutoubia Mosque, is the sister tower to Seville’s Giralda, the minaret of which has become the symbol of the city. The Bahia Palace (19th century) is a splendid Moroccan Palace, covered with marble, gold and multicoloured onyx. The delightful Majorelle’s Botanical Gardens are planted with giant bamboo, yucca, papyrus, palm, cypress and banana trees, philodendrons and bougainvilleas. They were laid out in the 1920’s by the French artist Jacques Majorelle. The modern and Europeanised district of Gueliz was also designed during the French occupation and forms a spacious city quarter at a respectful distance from the Muslim old town.
