EXCELLENCE IN ART SINCE 1963

This March we are pleased to present a series of shows that are sure to appeal to a diverse group of collectors. In Scottsdale, we are featuring “Into The West” a group show that celebrates our western heritage. The like-minded artists participating in this event have devoted their careers to capturing the spirit and history of the west, whether portraying a contemporary cowboy scene, an expansive western landscape or a work of historical nature. At our Jackson gallery, you will have the opportunity to view a dynamic collection of wildlife art during our annual “Wildlife Discovery” show. Due to the overwhelming appeal of the genre, this is always a favorite show for many of our collectors given the high caliber of works that are available by many of the leading wildlife artists in the country. This show always serves to remind us how important our natural world is and why it is so imperative that we nurture and protect our fragile ecosystems and their inhabitants. We also have three individual showcases on tap in the Jackson gallery. “A Simpler Time” featuring California western painter S.C. Mummert presents a series of paintings inspired by vintage 1920’s and 1930’s western imagery.

Jenness Cortez, Seven Chiefs: Big Medicine, 18 x 24 inches, Acrylic on mahogany panel, $43,000

“Portraits From the Ranch” featuring William Suys explores the artist’s love of diverse subject matter as he continues to distill his vision toward primarily figurative work– human and animal – as well as conceptual realism. Linda St. Clair has set herself apart as an innovator who creates animal portraits that explore the personalities of creatures great and small. Whether her subjects are of the barnyard, domestic or wild variety, they are undeniably the product of an artist inspired by wildlife’s vital energy and its broad emotional range. Her showcase, “Evolution” brings together a body of work infused with a strong narrative sense, a clear articulation of mood and spirit, and an intricate knowledge of animal anatomy. As you browse through the newsletter, please keep in mind that the images shown are just a sampling of what the gallery is currently featuring. I encourage you to visit our website for a more comprehensive look. And as always, we look forward to hearing any thoughts or comments on how we may better serve your art needs.
