Site Visit
坐落于长江和京杭大运河之畔，得益于其优越的水运条件，镇江是长江上的重 镇。由于江岸北移，曾经的货运码头被逐渐遗弃，这些区域现今成为了这座江滨 城市发展的战略要地。
Zhenjiang is a significant Yangzi riverside city owing its success to its water transportation trade being situated between the Yangzi River and the Grand Canal. However, as the riverbeds move northwards traditional trade ports become redundant and these new areas have become a key point of expansion to enhance the water front city.
Initial Stage
Our design ideally works towards activating the site with sensitivity to its context, history, and needs of the people. This is achievable by expressing its waterside character and existing Anglo-Chinese culture. With these we plan to encourage enterprises by charming foreign and local traders. 我们的设计宗旨是在保证传承延续地区历史文化的同时，活化整个区域并满足人 们的需求。为此我们将强化江岸文化及镇江历史文化以获得鼓励商业和地区 发展的效果。
