Hi, My name is Kikki and I was the annoying kid who came home with at least 100 drawings a day just because I couldn’t help myself. I loved creating stuff. That love has turned into a degree in Visual Communication with a major in Graphic Design and 3 years of professional experience working in both teams and independently. I have hands-on experience with the design process from the beginning till the end and I manage both generating ideas, executing and delivering them within a given timeframe. Additionally I am the person who inevitably get small tics when for example peoples paintings hang askew, so I have an attention to details that is unavoidable but it gives me a pleasure ensuring the quality of my work. Currently I am working as a freelance Graphic Designer juggling different tasks within the fields of logo design, packaging, brand management, illustration and printing techniques amongst others. I take pride in not only the creative part of a design process but in the technical part too. Therefore I have an extensive skillset when it comes to design software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Fontlab and to some degree After Effects and basic HTML/CSS. I welcome the opportunity to meet you in person for an in depth interview. Thanks for your time and consideration.

At Yoko Sushi & Bento in Athens, you get the best “street food” around. Yoko is the heroine of this visual identity and she adapts her style and look to every occasion. The clear blue colour gives a light and fresh feeling, that represents the produce used by the store. Furthermore the spirit of the company is represented through the friendly face of Yoko herself. The logotype takes it shape from the most common sushi elements and parts hereof is usen in both Yoko and the rest of the identity.

Several times a year Tuborg launches annual limited edition design as to highlight special events and in doing so they wanted a design presentation on a packaging design for Roskilde Festival. The criteria for the solution was that Tuborg had to be recognizable in the design but the partner, Roskilde Festival, should come forward.  Furthermore, the regulatory elements had to be taken into account and it was required to incorporate Tuborgs so-called “Drink with Respect.

music work out
Music Work Out is a Danish developed music game that offers children and adults a completely new way to learn music theory.   The design is shaped with the simplicity and pure expression of music in mind. The notes need to consist in their shape and be easily recognized.  The colours vary as a way of seperating the different type of cards. Both them and the boxes has been made in durable materials, that can withstand being used repeatedly as they primarily are designed to be used as a teching supplement.
Design proposal for Estia Bakery in Thessaloniki, Greece, that produce their own honey. Their wish was to have the packaging designed independently from their own visual identity. The thought was to, in a simple way, create a reference to the bee that produces the honey, but most of all put an emphasis on the one that loves honey the most. The bear. Even the bear can’t see to keep it’s fingers away from such a delicious, sweet and fresh treat.
In correlation with a long-term collaboration with Ekies - All senses resort in Chalkidiki, Greece, Beetroot Design Group was comissioned to create a new and exciting brochure.  I have been a part of creating the brochure in the spirit of this extraordinary place Ethos: Tranquility, Simplicity and Excellence. This simple brochure showcase a clear-blue sans-serif text with small illustrations on white premium paper, that have been stitched together by a blue thread.  The photos inside are only attached on one side and covers a part of the text as a way of inviting the readers to turn the photos and explore the hidden informations.

Illustration made for a greek publication called “Ode to Code”. The book is a collaboration with the graphic design community in Thessaloniki, where a number of known and less-known codes are presented through original illustrations. Code 8/ NATO military symbols for land-based systems: NATO provides a standard set of common military sumbols for land-based formations and units. The symbols consists of a frame, a fill and a constituent icon as well as any symbol modifiers that represent an individual’s status in wartime conditions. By using the symbols for the two opposite affiliations “hostile” and “friendly” I have decided to create a raster-like image that gives shape of a skull and a dove of peace, that comes into existence by placing red diamonds and blue circles against a neutral white room. The picture aspires to remain simple, however ambiguous by creating room for interpretation. Whether the dove is fleeing the skull, colliding with it or ignores it os up to the viewer. Despite the fact that the symbols are used to classify aspects of human conflicts, the results of these can only be observed from a distance.

Nomination/shortlisting at the Young Creative Circle Award 2013. Made in collaboration with a fellow classmate. The assignment was to create a visual identity for the company Pedigree Adoption Drive.  The logo focus on the somple fact that the dogs at Pedigree Adoption Drive needs a new owner and because one of our main focuses was the diversity in dogs the logo was made dynamic, as to showcase this. Furthermore we focused on the different advantages by getting an adopted dog and thereby we made, in line with the logo, a series of posters that illustrate these.

Senior Talents is a temp agency for seniors whom either want’s to reenter the labor market, work parttime or project based. Senior Talents sees the elders as a unused potential, that can create great value for companies and based on this I created a dynamic logo as a part of a new visual identity. The idea behind the logo is that this segment is a goldmine waiting to be utilized beacuse of preexisting experience and knowledge. The shape is based on the bulb as a symbol of competence, “bright mind” and strength while the face is a visual representation of the temp, that signifies differentiation and experience.
1 Singlelife: An online network for people whom has chose to live alone - with it’s pros and cons / 2 Senior Talents: Temp agency for seniors. The shape of the logo is based on the bulb as a symbol of competence, “bright mind” and strength while the face is a visual representation of the temp / 3 Gason: Logo suggestion for Hionidis Mankinds own high-end clothing line. The shapes uses the N from Gason, as to reflect the handkerchief in a suit / 4 Asymbrella: An umbrella manufacturer that designs asymmetrical umbrellas. The logo form is based on these asymmetrical lines / 5 Brygger J. C. Jacobsens Portrait award: The National Museum of History’s joint Nordic portraitcompetition. The logo tries to embrace the diversity in the competition by it’s minimalistic expression, that illustrates the frame and face in the portraits.
1 Pedigree Adoption Drive: Logo focus on the fact that these adoption dogs are missing a new owner, that could possible be you / 2 Gason: Logo suggestion for Hionidis Mankinds own high-end clothing line. It’s shape represents a hanger, bended as a elegant walking man / 3 Brygger J. C. Jacobsens Essay award: The National Museum of History’s essay competition. Onassis is font designed for the Greek cultural center of the same name. It is created for a visual identity for their pop-up design shop in Athens. Its clean lines makes it aristocratic in its expression but down to earth, soft and human with its round corners.

Eros is an exhibition that celebrates the most essential reason why people come together: Sexual attraction and ultimately intercourse. In the unpardonable everyday routine where human relationships are challenged and being sexually attracted to other people, as well as the desire make love just for the pleasure it brings, is presented through the eyes of Beetroot Design Group, as an independent and honest human practice that is important for the personal psychological balance. At the exhibition individual images were presented as an installation that portray characters that have erotic intercourse in different formations. The installation was made up of individual pictures of high quality prints, each showing a detail, which is also an independent composition to the subject. In this way, visitors can buy the whole piece or part of it and thereby select the details that appeals to them the most.
In collaboration with the Copenhagen Metro Company, and as part of the “City Fence”, I and a group of fellow students got the task of decorating a 80 meter long banner for use as a decoration at City Hall square. The idea was to combine the essence of the square, its pigeons, with the Copenhagen diversity. Therefore, we chose to create the “Pigeons Wall of Fame”, which shows more than 60 pigeons, that illustrates several characters, celebrities and stereotypes.

To whom it may concern, I have known the applicant since 21/10/13-28/2/14 during which was in our agency as an intern. During this time she showed a great interest for the methodology of Graphic Design and exhibited an innovative, creative use of the tools, materials and special techniques which she applied in on going projects. She also showed interest in typography (font families and type treatment) symbolic images and subliminal messages, abstraction. Some indicative fields of communication design that she dealt with success and gave design solutions were Brand development, packaging, corporate identity, advertising principles, communication and presentation skills. She showed a solid way of design process researched and solved design issues concerning typography, information design and signage, branding with great success and innovation. In addition she applied a design driven approach on advertising projects which produced very interesting and effective results without losing the objectives of the brief given. On another aspect I would like to stress out the fact that during the time of her internship demonstrated a great progress on time management handling. She responded perfectly well to most projects’ demands, conveying through her design rather difficult and complicated meanings. Very self initiative, she addressed the topic in a multidisciplinary way, which along with her mature evaluation and selection of her research findings lead to rather interesting conclusions. She is a hard worker and shows initiative in undertaking difficult design problems with confidence and ability. She has an honest and reliable character and has a good sense of humour and charm. A very consistent person, always tries to get the most out of a brief. I strongly believe she has the skills and assets you might be looking for during this selection process.
