Description of activity undertaken (pleasebe as specific as possible) The student completed a period of research on their chosen brand/product including basic history, prior advertising,  SWOT analysis, place in market and  target audience; participated in several ideas creation workshops; developed  a range of advertising ideas, and used the material and knowledge gained to develop a presentation pitch for a TV  Commercial production. In pairs students then peer reviewed their presentations and agreed next steps for  improvements.

How the activity meets the requirements of the assessment and grading criteria (please explain how the learner met the criteria and the qualitative aspects of their performance)

Kieran gave a good opening welcome and covered the Wiskas product history with an excellent memory for the facts. His dress was professional and he used good eye contact and a clear voice to maintain audience engagement, which was generally good. He covered all the necessary material, in a structured way, using the appropriate advertising and audience vocabulary, but the presentation leading up to his final commercial idea pitch was quite long. He used technology appropriately combining relevant text and supporting materials, though graphs were not used and would have been appropriate and some background images chosen were distracting for the viewer. The presentation had clearly been proof read using spell and grammar check, but preloading his AV material would have made things run more smoothly. Grade awarded: M2, M3, M4, M5 Assessor’s name:
