MEET KIRSTEN MAXWELL OF Kids Are A Trip Kirsten is the founder of Kids Are A Trip, created to inspire families to explore the world with their children. Kirstenâ€™s family enjoys finding adventure around the world - from the fjords of Norway to the rain forest of Puerto Rico and the castles of Europe. A bilingual teacher, Kirsten enjoys creating entertaining and educational itineraries for the entire family. She and her husband have visited 25 countries and counting to expose their children to
other customs and cultures. She writes monthly travel features for Travelocity and for Traveling Mom as Teaching Traveling Mom where she focuses on the educational aspect of travel. A native Phoenician, Kirsten lives in the northern Chicago suburbs and loves trying local cuisine on her travels, especially when fish tacos and margaritas are on the menu.
