I created the first French surf school in California. I am trying to get the French community of the bay area and tourists to surfing, but at the same time I love to have some American students too. I will teach you in French or in English depending on your preferences! The classes take place in Half Moon Bay, city with which I have an official license, on a very safe spot (Princeton Jetty) close to the very famous Maverick’s. Trust me, you will never feel that the water is cold as you will enjoy some very magic and exciting experiences: meeting dolphins, seeing rainbows, using all the energy of your body to face the energy of the ocean‌ Please take some time to read the website and figure out why the school is different from others. I really hope to see you soon in the waves! Vive le surf!

Safety is a chief concern for me. If needed, I have CPR and Basic First Aid certifications, and always keep a firstaid kit on the beach. The fact that there is a fire station 300 feet from the beach is very good point for the speed of potential intervention. But of course I am mainly focused on preventive action: assessing water conditions before getting out, using soft-top boards with flexible fins and continuously watching over our students (1 teacher for 4 students at the maximum). Our students wear colored rash guards in order to be easily identified in the middle of other surfers. Starting with the first class I teach our students the safety gestures that should become good habits for later. I also practice a deep warming-up and stretching as the best way to prevent muscular pains.

After a strong winter storm in the northern Pacific Ocean, waves can routinely crest at over 25 feet (7.6 m) and top out at over 80 feet (24 m). The break is caused by an unusually shaped underwater rock formation.
Half moon bay The City rests on the Pacific Coast between forested hills and some of the most beautiful coastlines that California has to offer. It is located approximately 28 miles south of San Francisco and lies within the westernmost portion of San Mateo County.
