Executive Summary Feeling like royalty on your wedding day should not be expensive. Wedding Bell Beauty provides makeup services, photography, and videography for your wedding at affordable prices. Wedding Bell Beauty clients will feel beautiful and will create amazing memories that will last a lifetime at a price that is reasonable and affordable. We at Wedding Bell Beauty really get to know our clients, so we can make their special day uniquely theirs. Our clients feel comfortable with us, and we are available to them at any time. Wedding Bell Beauty staff professionals and clients are like one big family, and not just strangers taking photos at some random wedding. We get to know our clients through our extensive intake interviews, and from the time we spend together planning every aspect of the special day. This allows us to form relationships prior to the wedding, so when the big day arrives, everyone is comfortable and excited, with a specific plan in place. We have undercut the competition with our low prices, allowing us to accelerate faster since we will get more clients that fit our demographic and can afford our services as opposed to the services of another wedding planner. We pride ourselves on being each couple’s perfect wedding planner. For example, our clients Amanda and Zachary have been together for 7 years. They are high school sweethearts. Amanda and Zachary came to us looking for affordable wedding services. We sat down with them well before the wedding and really got to know them, both as individuals and as a couple. We talked about what services they were looking for, but also took the time to talk about them, their families, their interests and their hopes for the wedding. Amanda did not usually wear makeup in her everyday life, but wanted her makeup done for her big day. Since she was not quite sure what she wanted, we set up a trial date with her so we could create and finalize a wedding look, and making sure she was happy and excited for her special wedding look. Not only did we meet with Amanda alone for her beauty consultations, we met with both Amanda and Zachary again as the wedding date got closer, to decide how many photographers and videographers they would need to make their wedding memories exactly what they wanted. We also decided whether they wanted a photo disc or a photo album. We then discussed prices with them. When their wedding day finally arrived, we had talked to and met with Amanda and Zachary on multiple occasions, so we really knew and understood who they were and what their big day was going to be like for them. Since their perfect wedding day, they have recommended us to their friends who are planning weddings, and we still keep in touch with them regularly. By continuing with our family oriented and personal approach, we hope that Wedding Bell Beauty will grow by 45% in the first three years of business. By March 2018, we hope to have 550 happily married couples that were happy with our services. 3
General Company Description Our business, Wedding Bell Beauty, is part of the wedding industry. The business offers two main services: affordable makeup packages for bride and bridal party, and affordable videography/photography packages. Our mission and vision for the business is that getting married should does not have to be expensive. We therefore provide affordable and high quality services to all our clients. Wedding Bell Beauty offers makeup packages and video/photography packages. Our business is located in the southern Chicago suburb of Dolton, Illinois. Our goal is to provide one of the highest quality and most affordable makeup, photography and videography for weddings among the many competitors in our field. We also hope to be one of the top companies in our industry. While weddings are still big business in America, with an average of 2.4 millions weddings performed each year, there has been a decline in wedding related business and revenue since 2012. Approximately 800,000 people are employed in the wedding industry, and the average American couple will spend about $30,000 on their wedding. With the help of Wedding Bell Beauty, the cost of the American wedding can decrease. At Wedding Bell Beauty, we have knowledge of what goes into putting on a successful wedding, photography skills and a long history of wedding photography and portrait pictures, also an important part of any wedding album. We also have many years of experience in makeup application, as well as a broad base of customer service experience. Wedding Bell Beauty is an LLC, As partners in the business, we can use our business to invest, and have maximum flexibility to distribute profits and losses among owners.
Products and Services Wedding Bell Beauty provides three different services, and there is a range of packages within each service area to fit anyone’s wedding needs. The first service we offer is photography the entire day of the wedding. We not only capture the ceremony, but can take pictures of the bridal party getting ready, and sneak in candid shots that will make wonderful memories for years to come. We then edit those photos and turn them into lovely keepsake album that couples will cherish for a lifetime. We also provide engagement photos, which can be made into a separate album or incorporated into the wedding album. We also offer videography services, where we video your wedding day, including the ceremony, party, toasts and cake cutting, and then create a stunning video montage set to the music of your choice. Finally,we provide beauty consultations and makeup applications not only on the day of the wedding, but for showers, engagement parties and rehearsal dinners. We not only will beautify the bride, but will provide services to the entire wedding party, the mothers of the bride and groom, and any other special person who deserves a little something extra on the special day. Wedding Bell Beauty offers all these services at reasonable, affordable prices, and this gives us an advantage over our competitors. If only photography is needed, we offer 8 hours of photography from one photographer for only $500. Each additional hour costs $50. For 8 hours of photography with 2 photographers, the cost is $750. We also do engagement photos, which are $150 for a two hour sitting. Each additional hour is $25. We do not charge extra if the bridal couple wants to include a pet in their engagement pictures, or even in their wedding photos. With all of our photography packages, we edit the photos and put them in a beautiful keepsake album for no additional cost. Our affordable videography options include eight hours of filming by one videographer for only $500. Each additional hour of videotaping is $50. For eight hours of video by two videographers, the cost is $750. For either package, we edit the video and set the footage to the music of your choice on a keepsake DVD. Additional copies of the DVD can be purchased for an additional $10. If a customer wants a combination of both photography and videography for the big day, we have different options. We can provide eight hours of photo and video services for only $1,000. Each additional hour costs $75. With this package, one photographer and one videographer are assigned to your wedding for the day. Customers can request two photographers and videographers for the day, at a cost of $1,500. With both these packages, a keepsake album and keepsake DVD are the end result. To enhance the beauty of our photography and videography, our bridal makeup packages start from the bride only, with her makeup being done by one of our expert makeup artists for $50. This service includes airbrush or traditional makeup and lashes. For each additional bridal party member, makeup application costs only $35 per person, also including airbrush or 5
traditional makeup and lashes. We also provide makeup for the flower girls free of charge, including lip gloss and mascara for a youthful, natural look. a natural look. We are always willing to provide a makeup trial for the bride for only $10, to ensure she will be thrilled with how she looks on her big day. 6
Marketing Plan At Wedding Bell Beauty, we are targeting any couple, 18 years or older who are earning a yearly income between $35,000$65,000. Our typical client will be getting married in the Chicagoland area. Typically, our clients have a high school or trade school education. Some clients may have college degrees. We cater to most couples that fit within the income bracket stated earlier. 7
Operational Plan and Management/Organization Wedding Bell Beauty has four different areas of service. The staff includes photographers, videographers, makeup artists and the owners/managers. Each one of these positions has specific requirements. Our photographers all provide and use their own professional grade cameras, and they have professional portfolios for clients to preview their work, and determine if that photographer’s style matches what they envision for their wedding photos. Our photographers take the photos on the engagement and wedding days, and they edit their own photos. After all the photos are edited, they are arranged in a keepsake album, with a cover color chosen by the clients. Photographs can also be purchased in CD form, either in addition to the album, or by itself. Our videographers each have their own professional grade video camera. They will videotape the wedding day, from wedding preparation through the ceremony and party. Then they will edit the footage they have taken, and when it is complete, meet with the couple to review what they want included in the final video montage. During this meeting, the couple can customize their video, including what footage they want, setting it to music, and even adding special photos or video clips they already have. After all the edits are done, our videographer will put the video on a CD for lasting memories. Our makeup artists also have portfolios of their work so they can show different looks to our clients. Each artist has their own makeup kit that contains professional level makeup, brushes and accessories. The artist will do a makeup trial for the bride and bridal party before the wedding, to coordinate the perfect looks for everyone involved. On the day of the wedding, our artist will go to the venue and apply the makeup already decided on during the trial. By having the look planned out and the makeup artist coming to the wedding venue, the stressful aspects of looking good are eliminated from the equation. Finally, our managers at Wedding Bell Beauty schedule all the appointments with clients and prospective clients. They provide guidance and advice regarding prices, budgets, payment plans, meetings, and will coordinate all the services to be provided so that the wedding day will be seamless and without any glitches. Our managers also do work within the company, keeping track of the company budget and accounting, payroll, handling inventory and staffing, and also working with the media in order to get the name Wedding Bell Beauty out there to the general public.
Financial Statement and Plan To keep track of the accounting aspect of the business, Wedding Bell Beauty uses monthly journals, contracts, invoices and agreements. We keep track of the money we spend in journals, and have our clients and our employees sign contracts and agreements. We use invoices for all the payments and fees that are due in order to run the business. Our business does not have many fixed costs, and our expenses primarily consist of one time purchases. Our business assumptions are that Wedding Bell Beauty will grow over the years, adding to its revenue. In our first year, we will have completed approximately 24 weddings. In our second year, we hope to complete around 36 weddings. In our third year, we hope to complete 48 weddings and in our fourth year, we hope to have grown and completed 60 weddings. Looking out to the fifth year, we hope to complete 72 weddings. When taking into consideration our costs, our products and our assumptions regarding how many weddings we will work, we have come up with a profit/loss projection. In our first year we project our spending at $8,000 before even launching our business. If all goes as planned, we should then earn around $88,000. In our second year, we will spend approximately $5,000 and make approximately $130,000. In our third year, we estimate spending around $6,000 and making about $175,000. For the fourth year, we assume we will spend around $6,500 and earn nearly $220,000. In our fifth year, we hope to spend only $8,500 while earning close to $265,000.

Sales Projection Breakdown For the first year all our expenses will equal to $7,890. We hope to do 24 weddings that first year. The amount of money we would earn can vary greatly. But to make an estimate of much we could earn here is the breakdown: Say a person buys the cheapest (C) photo/video package we have which is $500. 24 weddings times 500 $12,000 for that year. A person could also get our most expensive (E) photo/video package which is $700. 24 weddings times 700 is $18,000. Our clients could also get the photo and video together and the cheapest is $1,000. $1,000 times 24 is $24,000 for that year. They could also get the most expensive package which $1200. $1200 times 24 is $28,800 for that year. For the makeup that can also vary. The amount of people we do makeup on can change. If only the bride (B) gets her makeup done that is $1,440 for that year (60x24=1,440). If we do four (4) people that year (the bride and bridal party) it would equal out to $3,960. This breakdown of how much money we would get continues each year on the number of weddings we do that year.
