About KANZI Fest KANZI means “treasure in Swahili, which is the most commonly spoken language amongst Black people in the world. KANZI Fest is an initiative of Kemetyu Global Economic Development Corporation (KGEDC), a 501c(3) organization dedicated to uplifting African descendant people and the introduction of the very diverse culture to all people worldwide. About KGEDC Kemetyu Global Economic Development Corporation (KGEDC) is a 501c(3) nonproďŹ t founded in 2016 and operates out of Pearland, TX. KGEDC has six main program areas that are our focus: Arts, Culture, & Entertainment (A.C.E.); Community Development & Safety; Community Works & Planning; Economic & Workforce Development; Education; and International Affairs. KGEDC is here to help make the American experience the best that it can be for a population that has had many triumphs, but even more defeats. The American citizens of African descent have added so much value to this country, from design to inventions, from production to nurturing, from leadership to service, and much more. Now is the time for people of African descent to truly live the American dream and to share with our fellow Americans the richness of our heritage. 9
