PINK & BLUE BALL The annual Pink and Blue Ball was held at the stunning El Oceano hotel, as always the perfect venue for this annual event, held on 10th October. Even in this deep recession there was a full house. The event kicked off with a Champagne reception followed by an excellent dinner of Salmon Roulade, main course Beef Wellington and Eton Mess for dessert. The drink was also flowing all night and the guests thoroughly enjoyed the top class entertainment provided by Mike Sterling (West End star of Phantom etc), Pete Nabarro who is a Neil Diamond tribute act, a Spanish duo of Guitarist and Singer. This was followed by Zoe Louise, the ever popular Rob Stevens from the Manhattan Show Bar, and right into the early hours when one of my own particular favourites, the electric violinist Quike Navarro, had the crowd up on their feet and begging for more! The auction was hosted by Poppa Jay who made sure the
audience gave generously to this worthy cause. At the time of going to print, the event had raised more than 20,000 Euros and climbing, so catch the Positively Pink Facebook page to see the final tally.
