FRIDAY 17 AUGUST 2018 DOCKSIDE, SYDNEY

Following a strong showing of nominations, The Educator is delighted to announce the finalists for its inaugural awards. The Australian Education Awards makes its debut in Sydney this August, celebrating excellence in the education profession. The event brings together influential figures in the sector to recognise the hard work and incredible dedication that has been shaping and encouraging young minds around the country. The call for nominations for these first ever awards was well received by the community and the quality of submissions was notable in all categories. This speaks volumes of those who made it through to the shortlist, who are setting a very high bar for those who will be following in their footsteps at future awards nights.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who took the time to submit nominations this year. The Educator is proud to introduce you to the schools, curriculum creators and individual teachers and principals who have stood out among their peers to be chosen as finalists. Over the following pages you will see those shortlisted across the 22 award categories. We look forward to celebrating their success and yours at Dockside, Sydney on Friday 17 August.
