Senior Drafter: Drafted the structural and architectural aspect of remote temporary and long-term housing for clients in the oil and gas industry using AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop; included a multi-unit kitchen and a 72-person, three-story dorm for housing. Incorporated structural floor plans, ceiling, roofing, structural elevations and details using standard lumber, lvl and Ijoists into the master set which also included Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing. Worked with the Structural P.E. to develop the most comprehensive set of drawings for production the company had ever implemented.

Raised the standard of professionalism for department contract documents relative to the information they contained via formatting, layer-control management, detail relevance and hours per sheet reduction.

WALMART PROJECT MANAGER / WALMART BRAND MANAGER / DESIGN VISUALIZATION SPECIALIST (Renderings, 3D Graphics) / JOB CAPTAIN / INTERN ARCHITECT

Walmart Project Manager: Oversaw construction documents, reviewed drawings, resolved requests for information from contractors, travelled to meet with the client as well as jurisdictions such as Walmart Corporate Offices, various city councils (closed and open forum), building departments, variance meetings, planning and zoning departments, health departments, etc. Conducted building observations for multiple projects to monitor safety and constructability. Responsible for securing building permits, zoning permits including signage, health permits for food tenants and any other specialty permits necessary for the construction and Certificate of Occupancy of the stores.

Walmart Brand Manager: Approved in-house renderings (2D as well as 3D) elevation packages for release to Walmart for approval by their Architectural Managers. Elevations were sometimes prototypical but more so customized depending on the multiple jurisdictions and design requirements of the AHJs across the United States. Store footprints included new stores, Supercenter expansions, takeovers, relocations, Neighborhood Markets and dark stores).

Negotiated with the jurisdictions to determine the best feasible design per the site and surrounding vernacular of the cities. Approved Designs were incorporated into more than 50 projects across a dozen states from South Dakota to Texas, and Wyoming to Massachusetts.

Design Visualization Specialist: Incorporated 3D Studio Max, AutoCAD 3D software, and Adobe Photoshop to develop 3D renderings for clients.

Job Captain: Responsible for construction documents from conceptual to out-to-permit, out-to-bid, on through addendums, revisions and CCDs on over thirty Walmart projects varying from entitlement, existing scope site visits, drafting construction documents, specifications and real estate packages for Walmart Supercenters (new stores, expansions, takeovers, relocations, Neighborhood Markets and dark stores).

Intern Architect: Drafted with AutoCAD 2002-2013 and REVIT software for multiple projects within the company. Hospitality, retail, and eventually the Walmart retail division of the company.

AutoCAD R14-2002-based drafting and 3D rendering of various buildings for clients in the greater New Orleans area.

3D Projects include renderings of a 3-story office building, a shopping mall, two athletic facilities, an antebellum army barracks, a pharmaceutical office building and a marine industry warehouse. 2D Drafting projects include hospital additions, a National Guard historic building, six residential renovations, two new residences, two apartment complex renovations, an animal shelter, and a restaurant and tavern renovation in the historic French Quarter plus dozens of commercial office buildings.

Created AutoCAD standards for efficient documentation of construction documents.

Educated clients on computerized drafting capabilities, limitations, and intricacies.

Hired as contract draftsperson (which turned into employee status) for production on hotel renovations, lead to work on national self-storage chain of over two dozen buildings, New Orleans Children's Hospital, a New Orleans public school, a bank, a new museum, an art block center, a National Weather Service office, tourist information center, The New Orleans Aquarium, a research center, a tourist information building, the Downtown Development District and various other projects.

Taught and educated architects/interns on AutoCAD commands, production, and realistic time frames for meeting deadlines.

Continued to take classes on graphics and imaging software to stay on the leading edge of my profession.

ARCHITECT INTERN/DRAFTSPERSON Synthesis Architects and Planners, Wrightsville Beach, NC •

Generated AutoCAD R12/13-based drawings from design schematic's sketches and existing plans; included a fire station, highend residential homes on Bald Head and Figure Eight Islands, industrial lab renovation projects, a warehouse and daycare addition, renovations at Cherry Point Naval Base, demolition plans to a county hospital and an NCO club.
