Keuda Apprenticeship Training Centre Apprenticeship training is one form of vocational education and training at the secondary level. Of the total training about 80 percent takes place in the workplace.
Keuda Group, Vocational Education and Training is owned by seven municipalities: Järvenpää, Kerava, Mäntsälä, Nurmijärvi, Pornainen, Sipoo and Tuusula. The area is within 30–80 kilometers to the north of Helsinki. You can study at Keuda if you have completed comprehensive school. The study language is Finnish. Keuda has vocational education and training (VET) in 11 establishments, in all fields of secondary VET. We have some 7,000 students and our staff amounts to 620 persons.
Keuda has long traditions in organizing mobility for students, staff and experts. The mobility is mainly based on the following programmes: Leonardo da Vinci, Comenius, Grundtvig, Nordplus and Finnish National Board of Education. Keuda also offers scholarships for student mobility.
Keuda is a substantial partner in several national and international networks. The networks operate in multifield mobility and development projects mostly with partners from EU countries. Examples of our extensive network are e.g. EfVET (www.efvet.org), Re.form.E (www.reforme.org).
Keuda is active in hosting international students, teachers and experts. The main focus lies in EU countries. In addition Keuda has partners in several other non-EU countries (e.g. Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Russia).
Development projects Keuda is an active co-ordinator and partner in different types of international development projects. These projects offer our staff an outstanding opportunity to improve their international working and language skills. The main emphases have been in developing the common European credit transfer system for vocational education and training (ECVET), quality assurance and Peer Review in VET.
National and international competitions are everyday activities in Keuda. Talented students are encouraged to take part in competitions as a method of individualizing and personalizing their studies. Keuda trains the students and organizes the participation in the competitions.
