kettlebells4kids is on a mission to get homeless kids moving in a new direction. We believe that building strong, confident children today will create healthy, successful communities tomorrow. With your support, we can help strengthen their physical, social and emotional skills by consistently bringing active play and fitness equipment and programs to homeless shelters across America.

THANK YOU Dear Champion for Homeless Children, Our 7th Bright Space | Newburyport, MA

We are so humbled by the support we received in 2017 that allowed us to open four new Bright Spaces in 2018, bringing our total to 12 spaces uniquely designed for children living in homeless shelters. This report highlights the significant impact we have made in the lives of homeless children and their families in 2018, with the dollars raised in 2017. At kettlebells4kids, we believe in the power of community and we continue to be inspired by the stories we receive on behalf of the families living in the shelters where our funds are utilized. As one Shelter Director shared with us, “The shelters can be big, scary places for these little ones, but our new Bright Horizons playroom brings everything down to their level in a space they can control, shape, create, and feel safe. Thank you for your continued support helping us bring active play and fitness to homeless children in America. Kind Regards,

Amie Owens Founder and President | kettlebells4kids

The hour of yoga kept the students in a calm state of mind for the majority of the day. They were more relaxed and composed as opposed to the other students in other activities who were full of adrenaline. The counselors felt as though the soft background music was much needed after a long day of running around and playing for the children. Some students actually fell asleep during this time as well. Some of our staff also participated in the yoga rotation and they were very pleased with the results.
