All About Me: My name is Kenzie Scherger and I was born in Provost, Alberta and attended Provost Public School for all 12 years of schooling. I grew up on an acreage outside of town with my family of four. I love animals, especially horses which I have rode all my life. As well, we have two dogs. My favourite colour is pink and I am a country girl at heart. I love everything about living in the country. I am still trying to adjust to the city life in Red Deer because it is very different than what I am used to. I just moved to Red Deer a couple weeks ago and it was a major change in my life, but it will present me with many great opportunities.
Grad and Future Plans: I graduated from high school in June of 2013 with a class of 26 students. All through junior high I was interested in a career in kinesiology but in senior high I changed my mind to become a teacher. I have always loved children and in my grade 12 year, I did work experience in the grade one classroom. I learned many new things and I realized that it was my dream job. I applied to Red Deer College and plan to remain in Red Deer for all four years of my schooling through the middle years program. After I am done all of my schooling I plan to move back to a small community near my hometown to teach elementary students.
Hobbies and Interests: I also enjoy playing many sports. During my schooling at Provost Public. I played volleyball, basketball and badminton for six years. As well, I have played softball since I was five. My favourite of these sports is softball. I also have a passion for music and have played piano since I was five years old. I have participated in many music festivals in Provost and also in Edmonton for provincials. Another music instrumental that I loved to play was the alto saxophone. 292952
