Buyers spent $305.4 million less on single-family residential and condominium real estate comprised of 3,252 transactions in 2010 compared to the previous year. Kentwood Real Estate continues to outperform the Denver MLS for closed sales volume and transactions.

2011 Forecast for The Denver Real Estate Market: The active listing inventory will increase due to additional foreclosures (as reported through various media sources) coming to the market. The total sales volume and transactions will be up 3-5% by year-end, but slower on a year-over-year basis due to the tax incentive in 2010 through the first half of the year. Sales prices will remain relatively flat for the overall market. Mortgage interest rates will rise slightly, but still remain attractive compared to historic levels. The Denver real estate market will remain steady and stable with moderate growth in 2011.
