2. Pare down. Make your home inviting from the outside; protect your roof by having tree branches trimmed. This will also help avoid damage from winter ice and snowstorms.

3. Re-caulk. While bathrooms are not the most glamorous areas of the house, they need some love, too. Now is a great time to caulk windows, tiles and tubs, and change your shower curtains to avoid hazardous mold.

Honey-I-Love-You Lemongrass Shrimp Pasta Ingredients

This February, spend a little bit of time on your home and create a space where friends, family and significant others love to hang out. Here are a few simple tips to make your home more loveable. 1. Cozy up. Now’s the time to keep your fireplace tidy. Sprinkle damp coffee grounds over the cooled ashes and vacuum/dust the hearth area weekly to keep dust and soot to a minimum. Seek professional guidance for chimney and flue accumulation.

Skip the expensive night out and enjoy a date night at home with the company of your loved one. Here’s a great recipe to prepare for a special dinner.

4. Wipe down. Too much love on a home’s kitchen can leave cabinets grimy from food, fingerprints and spills. Spend 30 minutes wiping them down to keep your kitchen sparkling. 5. Refresh. Homemade potpourri is simple, inexpensive and gives your home a personal touch. Play around with dried flowers and herbs; citrus peels and cinnamon for a fragrance that fits you.
