THE HOME: A renovated holiday home on the east coast

T

he kitchen these owners inherited with the home was not to their taste. From the outset they knew they wanted a Poggenpohl kitchen with Miele appliances and could visualise how the space should look. Working with JS Geddes Kitchens and designer Shaun they wanted a unique layout and something completely removed from the run-of-the-mill kitchen that had previously filled the room. While they wanted handleless cabinetry they asked Shaun to soften the look by putting a heavy emphasis on curves as opposed to straight edges.

THE DESIGNER Shaun Dunbar “The client wanted a contemporary kitchen scheme that looked great and functioned brilliantly. As this is their holiday home there was a strong focus placed on entertaining and socialising. The island itself is a great social hub in the room with the coffee/bar area a fantastic addition to the space. High quality appliances ensure results and we’ve used lighting to highlight different zones within the room.” Kitchens by JS Geddes Kilmarnock Flagship Studio 10-12 West Netherton Street Kilmarnock Ayrshire T: 01563 530838 Symington (Hayes) Showroom Tarbolton Road Symington Ayrshire T: 01563 831340 jsgeddes.co.uk

KEY INFO

Good workspace was essential as was a practical working layout and an island/ table space with room for eight people. They were happy to give Shaun free reign in terms of colours, textures, materials and layout but wanted the room to have a strong social element. To achieve this Shaun factored in a coffee/bar area. Placed in direct proximity to the table it ensures the area is perfect for entertaining and means there is no need to leave the room when guests are round. The island itself is a real talking point in the kitchen. Bespoke in shape, with a strong sense of symmetry that is further emphasised by the ceiling bulkhead above, it adds balance to the room and is a multi-functional space fit for preparation, cooking, socialising and working. In addition to the kitchen a utility room was also designed and installed with similar

finishes to the kitchen. Led by practicality it features eye-level laundry equipment and a large sink with adequate workspace, plus room for any overspill storage from the kitchen. Convenience and accessibility was key in the kitchen. Pull-out drawers ensure everything is easily located and a strong working triangle makes cooking and meal preparation as straightforward as possible. Choosing a multitoned and textured colour scheme prevents the contemporary style from looking predictable. Sand grey doors with a diamond grey accent are complemented with plain white Corian worktops, accented with walnut wings to add depth and interest. Copper glass wall panels reflect light back into the room and create warmth. Finally zoned lighting was added in to add ambience and highlight the key features of the kitchen including handless rails.

THE HOME: A detached property in rural Fife

W

hile the previous kitchen in this detached family home was contemporary in style and not overly old it lacked character and functionality. When the owners bought the house they knew a renovation was in order to give them a social living space in which they could enjoy cooking and spending time together. New to the area the homeowners searched for a kitchen company that could interpret their ideas and give them the kitchen of their dreams. They explained: “We wanted something special and invited design concepts from several mainstream suppliers, but no other supplier came anywhere near the quality of design put forward by Tracy at Callum Walker.” Together the couple worked with Tracy and the team at Callum Walker to create a contemporary, monochrome style kitchen with that all-important ‘wow’ factor. It was especially important that the kitchen scheme fitted the large scale of the space. To meet this requirement, two angled walls were constructed to encase the curved tall units thus providing a welcoming aesthetic and a canvas for feature lighting. This added further interest to the space and helped to break up the room without creating a structural divide. Placed parallel to the room’s full-length glass walls the kitchen’s mirrored splashback was designed to reflect the incredible views of the property grounds and the hills in the distance. THE DESIGNER Tracy Walker “The requirement was to create a social kitchen that fully fitted the scale of the space. The client wanted a monochrome kitchen that made the best use of the full-length glass wall overlooking the grounds of the property. In addition to being hardworking and functional they wanted plenty of visual hooks which we took care of with the overall curved structure, transparent breakfast bar, crescent shaped tall units, reflective details and integrated curved bench seating.” Callum Walker Interiors Ruthvenfield Road Inveralmond Industrial Estate Perth T: 01738 638 822 callumwalker.com

The bespoke curved island is a striking focal point in the room. Its raised glass breakfast bar and the bench seating area with sink and induction hob in between means it is easy to cook and entertain in the one space and gives the room the social element the family craved. The floor-to-ceiling glass wall means the room benefits from stacks of natural light. The LED track lighting below and above the units, plus ceiling spotlights and feature wall wash lights add ambience to the scheme and enhance the subtle sparkle found on the countertops. The large work surfaces with two sinks and two dishwashers allow for a comfortable cooking experience, while the BORA cooktop extractor works to maintain the room’s sleek aesthetic.

The mix of tall and under-counter cabinetry means storage space is ample and the scheme itself has a logical layout and flow to make everyday life as easy as possible for the family. Commenting on the finished result the owner said: “Callum Walker were an excellent company to deal with throughout and it is worth noting that they met the deadline despite our choosing the design quite late in the year. It would be impossible to find fault with them as they have all areas covered from coming out at short notice to quote, to intuiting a design that considered the aesthetic, robustness, quality finish and functionality, to installing and snagging. “We still cannot believe the beauty of the kitchen and its functionality, it is a dream to cook in.” K&B SCOTLAND | 2017

THE HOME: A renovated property in Langbank, Renfrewshire

A

relocation allowed this couple the opportunity to plan their dream kitchen with Palazzo Kitchens. Working with Pino Palazzo on the initial survey and specification, and designer Jennifer Myszker on the design layout and finishes, they wanted to create an open plan, spacious, airy kitchen/dining area that was classic with a stylish finish. The previous kitchen in the house was an oak shaker lay-on style with modern bar handles and glass display units. The kitchen and dining area were previously in two separate rooms but removing an internal wall opened this area up into one large open space. For the new design they wanted a scheme that would complement the overall feel of the property and interior, and provide a striking centre point to the home. As the owners enjoy cooking and entertaining they wanted an island that could be used for food preparation and was a focal point in the centre of the room with some casual breakfast bar seating. They spotted the round barrel unit in the Palazzo showroom and were keen to incorporate it into their island design. Solid walnut bespoke chopping boards slot into the curve with food descriptions carved into them and a butcher’s block worktop finishes the design.

THE DESIGNER Jennifer Myszker “The client wanted a scheme that would complement the overall look to their home and was equally suited to both entertaining and cooking. I have an honours degree in interior design and so was able to help in terms of selecting furniture, worktop, and splashback colours and finishes. We chose a classic colour palette that will not go out of fashion and although the granite worktop is dark black in tone it is not overpowering because of the pattern of white and greys that are mixed through it. Its polished surface also reflects the light flooding in from the large windows. The soft champagne hues along with the natural earthy tones of the walnut complement the rest of the interior scheme in the property and tie in nicely with the outlook to the garden.” Palazzo Kitchens 151-153 Main Street Uddingston, Glasgow T: 01698 300800 palazzokitchens.com

KEY INFO •A handcrafted kitchen from Palazzo Kitchens •N ero Celsus granite worktop • B lanco Silgranit undermount sink in Jasmine • P errin & Rowe traditional twin lever tap

They were also keen that the layout complemented the existing space and worked in with the large sash and case windows, with ornamental stained-glass feature, that look out into the garden at the rear of the property. A set of antlers were found whilst clearing up the garden and the owners had these mounted in the same walnut material that was used for the table/benches and displayed in the kitchen. This then inspired some of the other decorative pieces around the kitchen like the large bowls sitting on top of the wall units either side of the mantel. A colour scheme of off-whites and soft greens was chosen to complement

the classic style of the furniture and offset the walnut features giving a look that is bright, fresh and homely. A mantel built around the range cooker is a key visual hook in the room and features corbels, a curved shelf and working units hidden into the false wall. The inside is clad in the same granite material as the worktop and shows off the beautiful swirls and turn of colour through it. A beautifully crafted bespoke walnut table top with four tailored benches along each side creates a relaxed and sociable dining area. The overall look is timeless, full of feature and an example of great craftsmanship and quality.

THE HOME: A detached property in St Andrews

T

his beautiful new build property needed a statement kitchen. Situated on the ground floor, the kitchen and living room both have bi-folding glass doors out to the garden and patio area. From the kitchen the open plan hall has a fantastic sweeping staircase and a full height glass atrium that leads to the bedrooms and a cinema room upstairs, complementing the house downstairs is an office, utility room, swimming pool and leisure suite. The owners wanted a contemporary, handleless kitchen scheme with plenty of visual hooks. On recommendation they visited Kitchens International and met with designer Helen Taylor. As well as wanting the space to feel open and airy they wanted a kitchen scheme that incorporated a huge walk-in pantry as well as a large island and dining for at least six people together with a family room for the kids to watch TV. They are sociable people and often have visitors or their daughter’s friends round so needed space and a logical layout to the scheme. When they spotted the Leicht display in Kitchens International’s showroom they were blown away by it and knew they wanted something similar. They selected a combination of gloss white cabinetry with a softer sepia brown to create warmth and depth. The couple’s interior designer Pat Renson then chose soft furnishings and accessories to complement the colour scheme. Carefully chosen artwork and framed photographs add colour and interest into the room and the large patio doors mean the beautiful scenery outside is very much a part of the interior scheme. THE DESIGNER Helen Taylor “These owners were the easiest and nicest clients to work with. They loved the design from the very first suggestions and changed very little. The biggest design challenge was the pantry. It would have been easy to just add this as a box in the kitchen but I cleverly designed it so you walk into it through a door to the right of the ovens and then it opens right out behind all the units providing ample storage. It is fully lit and has wire storage racks on wheels inside it to allow easy access to the goods. By Incorporating this into the kitchen has allowed for a much more minimalist and sleek design.” Kitchens International Aberdeen T: 01224 824300 Broxburn T: 01506 862780 Edinburgh T: 0131 5230477

Placing the hob in the island, facing out to the kitchen table, gives the room a strong social aspect. As keen cooks the couple chose a Siemens domino hob with options for gas, induction and teppanyaki cooking. The walk-in pantry is a hidden gem in the kitchen. Accessed via a door to the right of the ovens it opens out behind the bank of units to provide ample, easily accessed storage. This additional storage means it is easy to keep the kitchen itself looking sleek and uncluttered

with the worktops free for food preparation. The owners installed a Lutron lighting system to allow them to switch easily between ambient and task lighting Thrilled with their new kitchen the owner said: “We were delighted with our final design and installation and the complete professionalism shown from the Kitchens International team from sales to final handover. We have recommended them to all our friends and family.”

THE HOME: A three storey Georgian property in East Neuk, Fife

T

hese owners wanted a space that could meet their aspirations and needs. Their old kitchen was small and wasn’t best suited to socialising and entertaining. They wanted to open up the wall between the kitchen and dining room to create a larger space where they could cook whilst entertaining their guests. The property itself is a stunning three storey Georgian, former manse house with high ceilings and a sweeping stairway so they wanted a striking kitchen scheme that would sit comfortably in its surroundings. A considerable amount of time was spent researching kitchen design companies until their architect recommended they speak with the team at David L Douglas. Impressed with what they saw in the showroom and the initial consultation, the brief was to create a classic, elegant kitchen that blended traditional handmade cabinetry with a contemporary twist. With the clients being very interested in food, the new kitchen had to be both functional for cooking in as well as having the ability to be dressed-up for formal dinner parties. Stylistically the clients were influenced by the Scandinavian look – fresh and uncluttered but comfortable. They didn’t want overhanging cupboards on the walls as they wanted to use the space to display their artwork. Designer Linda Whiteford planned the kitchen design around an existing AGA with a perimeter format that included a substantial centre island bridging the two rooms and providing a sense of balance. The cabinetry included an inset frame shaker K&B SCOTLAND | 2017

THE DESIGNER Linda Whiteford “Our client’s house is an exceptionally attractive, three storey, Georgian former manse. Internally the house is elegant with high ceilings on the principal floor and a lovely, sweeping stairway. Their old kitchen was small and didn’t meet their needs from an entertaining perspective so they wanted something much more open and welcoming with a great sense of flow and function. The island was the centrepiece of the project; this was to be a functional food preparation area as well as a hub for socialising. With an open end that faces the dining room guests, when staying over, can help themselves to breakfast at their leisure, with it having been cooked earlier and held warm within the integrated warming drawer. With functionality at the core of the brief, a polished chrome pot filler was installed next to the AGA as well as a Wolf induction cooktop for ultimate ease-of-cooking. The team at David L Douglas worked closely with the client’s building contractor to ensure the entire project went to schedule and budget.”

style door with bevelled inner edge and was handpainted in Farrow and Ball’s Black Blue. As well being a social hub the island is also a functional food preparation area and houses an oven and warming drawer, prep sink and boiling water tap. Other key attributes of the kitchen include a distinctive shallow larder cabinet sitting on a work top as well as an attractive angled cupboard with bespoke cornicing throughout. The project also included the design, manufacture and installation of a bespoke window seat to complement the kitchen cabinetry and provide some extra practical storage. The client commented: “We are absolutely delighted with our new kitchen. The team at David L Douglas have done a superb job in answering our brief. We wanted a

functional kitchen to cook in but also a great place to hang-out with friends. Having had a clear idea in our minds as to what we were looking for we needed a company that could bring this to fruition and we found this in David L Douglas. Being a Scottish based manufacturer was a really big plus for us. We were looking at providers down south but felt that they were just too distant from where we are and being able to get in the car and visit the designer to discuss certain details was absolutely crucial for us. The client added: “Everything went so well from the initial design to the installation. Everyone who sees our kitchen is amazed by it. We are one hundred percent happy and would be delighted to recommend David L Douglas to anyone looking for a special kitchen that will last a lifetime.”

hese owners wanted a traditional, country style kitchen that would suit the overall look of their new build home. It was important that the room was spacious - both in terms of practical aspects like storage but also in layout so that it would easily lend itself to socialising. As owners of The Herb Garden the couple both enjoy cooking and so were particularly keen on the idea of a large island to use as an area of food preparation. As they produce their own wine it was also important that the island have bottle storage racks to house their collection. Their architect Sandy Anderson suggested they contact Countryside Kitchens and after speaking with designer Shona Ponder they were certain they were the right company for the job. Shona’s design was for an open plan, traditional style kitchen perfectly suited to busy family life. In addition to its storage and worktop space the island also houses a double sink, sitting in perfect proximity to the range cooker to make food preparation and washing up a simple chore. he owners of this beautiful family home wanted to change the ground floor layout and replace the existing extension with a conservatory space. They wanted a large open plan room that could house the kitchen/dining and living area and had a connection to the garden. While their previous kitchen was in good condition they wanted something much lighter, brighter and more spacious, taking advantage of the garden and patio and creating a relaxed hub of the house environment. Working with Mozolowski and Murray on the conservatory/extension and Murray and Murray Kitchens for the interior scheme they wanted a space where they could all enjoy spending time together as a family. The Mozolowski and Murray team removed the existing extension to put the new glass build in its place. They also altered and enlarged existing openings and changed the internal layout of the ground floor to suit and enhance the flow of space. The owners asked Murray and Murray Kitchens and designer Gillian to provide a contemporary styled kitchen suitable for everyday busy family life as well as being well enough equipped to cope with regular

THE DESIGNER Gillian McCollum “The client wanted a contemporary kitchen scheme fit for busy family life. The purpose of the new extension was to provide a connection between the interior and the exterior so we planned the kitchen with this in mind - the sink looks out to the garden as does the seating area at the island. The feature overmantel with its solid walnut beam is a real focal point in the room as is the sweeping curved island with circular breakfast bar.” Mozolowski & Murray Conservatory Design Centre 57 Comiston Road Edinburgh T: 0345 050 5440 mozmurray.co.uk

entertaining in the open plan space. When it came to the colour scheme in the new extension they wanted strong colours in the extremities with timber window frames and then a more neutral palette internally. Gillian then continued this theme through into the kitchen area, combining the bright white flat fronted cabinetry with the warmth of rich walnut. With the exception of the range cooker and wine cooler all appliances were to be integrated and out of sight to keep the overall aesthetic as fuss-free and clean lined as possible. Bi-folding doors to each side of the cooker, house the built in coffee machine and microwave, keeping them close at hand without cluttering counter space. The curved island is a real focal point in the room, with its gentle sweeping curved style welcoming the visitor in and sitting proudly as a social hub. The large bi-fold doors to the front and side elevation open out fully onto the patio, giving the whole space a sense of unity and achieving that connection between house and garden.

fter some time living and working in America this couple decided it was time to relocate back to Scotland to enjoy their retirement and be closer to their family. Their new home was originally part of a large, detached Victorian villa which was split into four generous sized flats back in the 1960s. The couple’s flat has both of the first floor’s two South facing large reception rooms and after purchasing they soon decided that turning the smaller of the two, used as a dining room by the previous owner, into the kitchen/dining area made the most sense as neither wanted to be stuck away in the kitchen when entertaining. As they weren’t moving back to Scotland until after the renovation was completed it was imperative they had a kitchen designer they could trust completely. After extensive research they discovered Peden & Pringle through HOUZZ and arranged to meet with designer Camilla. They commented: “We selected Peden & Pringle above other contractors who tendered for this project as Camilla immediately conveyed a feeling for the

K I TC H E N S THE DESIGNER Camilla Pringle “It was clear after talking to the client that we needed to furnish the room to be sympathetic to the character of the property and room. Simply plonking in standard kitchen units wasn’t going to work. The new kitchen had to function as a fully equipped modern workspace along with it being a space to socialise and entertain guests within a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. There were a lot of appliances to fit in but we got there. The main challenge however was with the kitchen being on the first floor and up a serious flight of stairs, which made it interesting getting the island’s Caesarstone worktop up as it was in one piece but four strong men safely brought it in without mishap! The bespoke cabinets measure 2550mm in height which is the perfect proportion for this high ceiling. Cornice uplights were put on top of the units to show its detail off to the best in the evening. The overall aesthetic of the kitchen had to be suitably grand but not in an overbearing way.” Peden & Pringle 11 Lovedale Road Balerno Edinburgh T: 0131 629 1771 pedenandpringle.com

hese homeowners wanted to convert their existing dressing room and master bathroom into one large ensuite. Working with director Ronnie Scott and designer Paul Stewart at Boscolo Bathrooms they wanted a luxurious, modern scheme that was in keeping with the rest of the house. The presence of a structural wall in the middle of the room had to be considered and planned around. Taking this into account Paul devised a design that created two separate areas - a relaxing bathing area and a showering space. Matching mirrors and vanity units sit back to back on either side of the wall to further emphasise the sense of balance in the room. The large, freestanding bath adds a touch of luxury and placing it at an angle

The neutral colour scheme is both timeless and contemporary and supports the relaxing ambience in the bathroom. These shades and tones are also present in the rest of the house, giving a sense of continuity and flow to the home as a whole. More recessed shelving in the walkin shower keeps the clean lines of the room while the underfloor heating and flat panel radiator ensure the bathroom is always warm and welcoming. Spotlights work together with the natural light to keep the room bright and airy and the inclusion of LED downlighting in the recessed shelving, lanterns and candles are a soothing presence in the evening. THE DIRECTOR Ronnie Scott “This room was initially a dressing room and a master ensuite, the client wished to remove the dressing room and extend the master ensuite in its place. The room had two entrances as it was originally, used for two separate purposes. Also, in the middle of the room there was a structural wall, we had to take both those things into consideration when coming up with the design. Rather than being a challenge we decided to use them to our advantage, creating a well balanced scheme with a good sense of symmetry.” Boscolo Bathroom Co. 17 North West Circus Place Stockbridge Edinburgh T: 0131 2265555 160 Causewayside Edinburgh T: 0131 6628222 boscolobathrooms.co.uk

ibrant colour is a recurring theme throughout this new build home. This owner’s passion for design and eye for style meant colour was an important must-have in the master bathroom and two ensuites. Working with Laings and designer Ian Charles, the brief was for a colourful, contemporary design featuring lots of glass. It was imperative the design focused on creating spaces which reflected the style and ethos of the rest of the house and the building itself. When it came to the main bathroom the

THE DESIGNER Ian Charles “In the bathroom I designed we had used coloured glass instead of tiling on the shower walls to great effect. We decided to utilise glass again, using a different colour in each bathroom to complement the corresponding bedroom – cool blue in the master suite, bright gold in the first ensuite and pillar box red in the second. We also installed bespoke furniture, in high gloss, horizontal grain America oak, to create a unique space with lots of hidden storage.” Laings Kitchens Bathrooms Bedrooms Inverurie Business Park Oldmeldrum Road Inverurie T: 01467 620311 laings.com

owner wanted a full steam room and sauna. All the walls have been clad in bespoke glass rather than tiles for a seamless effect and splash of colour. Brassware emerges through mirror, adding another reflective detail and the mosaic tiling and curve of the seat in the steam room is reflected throughout the room. The two ensuite bathrooms (pictured above) were designed to reflect the colour of the bedrooms they are adjoined to. Again glass and mosaic tiling are combined to add interest, a splash of colour and to create a continuous design style throughout the property. Ian said: “The client had a definitive

idea of the overall style she wanted for the house, so it was crucial that the bathrooms reflected that. As the house drew inspiration from the clean lines and bright, open spaces of a German Huf Haus, it was important that each room appeared seamless.” All of the bathrooms reflect the clean lines and contemporary style of the rest of the property, in addition to the playful use of colour which makes this home such an uplifting place to be.

n extensive renovation transformed this dilapidated cart shed into a spacious, wellproportioned four bedroom house. Working with interior designer Sally Homan at Robertson Lindsay the owner wanted a calm restful dÊcor that would link to the countryside outside. As they intended to use it as an upmarket holiday let it had have a welcoming and relaxing ambience as well as being very practical. When it came to the bathroom they wanted it to be in keeping with the rest of the house; comfortable with a touch of luxury. A colour scheme of aqua, sea kelp and duck egg blue were chosen to keep the look natural and in keeping with the home’s surroundings. The skirting boards were painted a similar colour as the floor to increase the feeling of floor space and give the room an open feel. Similarly the semi-pedestal basin and back to wall WC give a clear floor area and make cleaning easy. The central Velux window dictated an obvious position for the bath and a retractable shower hose was chosen as there is limited height for a fixed shower head. Sally inset the bath into a limestone

THE DESIGNER Sally Homan “I believe it is very important to listen to a client’s brief to deliver a home which reflects their tastes and lifestyle. In this case the owners wanted a calm, restful interior which links to the countryside outside. The natural elements that you see outside the windows are as important as the colours and soft furnishings inside so we used this as our basis for choosing the colour scheme and materials to create an interior aesthetic at one with its external surroundings.” Robertson Lindsay 7 Dundonald Street Edinburgh T: 0131 629 1661 robertson-lindsay.com

surround and then continued this material on the floor, and as a splashback and a shelf. In addition to being very hardwearing and easy to maintain the limestone finishes add interest and are again reflective of the natural surroundings. The small window has working shutters for privacy and the Velux window above allows you to see the stars while lying in the

bath, both work together to create a feeling of light and spaciousness in the room. The tongue and groove is painted in Farrow & Ball’s Teresa’s Green and this same colour was taken up one wall to highlight the interesting architecture while the other walls are painted in Wimborne White. The overall effect is a timeless style in a room that feels fresh and functional. K&B SCOTLAND | 2017

his homeowner wanted a tranquil space that could be used as a washroom and dressing room as well as a space to relax in. Working with James Ellis at Charles Yorke they wanted a multi-use room that was visually zoned but without physical barriers. To meet this demand James incorporated floating mirrors into the design, these serve a functional as well as aesthetic purpose in dividing the areas and enabling the flow of the design to be maintained. James explained: “The mirrors quite quickly became the focal point in the design, allowing the room to be utilised in completely different ways from either side of the vanity/dressing peninsular, but all within the same room. All this was achieved while still keeping the walk through area between the large bath and the sinks as open as possible to give the bathroom a spacious feel.” Hidden storage was built-in to allow the storage of items close to hand and yet be kept out of sight. A lift-up lid in the dressing area worktop reveals sectioned jewellery storage with velveteen lining, whilst cupboards in the mirrors hide away lotions and potions. “The client had some original ideas sketched out, from which we developed the furniture style, feeling and usage of the furniture for the bathroom. They wanted a workable practical design, but also one which would delight visually,” commented James. “The only consideration was to consider the pinch-point between the bath and twin sink arrangement. It was imperative to keep this walk-through area as open as possible, therefore giving the bathroom an airy spacious feel.” With Maple being selected as the main timber choice, creating a natural and neutral tone in

combination with the Beccia Sardo worktops and splashbacks. a bold counterpart was needed, in order to bring elements of the furniture to the forefront. Hence the introduction of American Black Walnut as an accent timber element was selected. This combination of

light and dark helps to ensure an open and light feel to the room with plenty of warmth. Mood lighting was important in this scheme, and is used to up-light various elements for dramatic effect as well as enabling the user to choose ambient lighting for a welcoming and relaxing space.

THE DESIGNER James Ellis “With such a large open airy space available for the ensuite bathroom and dressing room, it would have been so easy just to have filled this area with cabinetry. However, only by talking to the clients, who had a rough idea of what they wanted, could their own desires and expectations for a large spacious room be achieved. Some of the little details are the most rewarding, such as the hidden away storage compartment within the dressing table worktop.” Charles Yorke Byron Avenue Kirkby-in-Ashfield Nottinghamshire T: 01623 756 080 charlesyorke.com
