STORIES FOR A WINTER NIGHT: C.C. COLLINS, ANIMAL RITES Stillwell Theater JANUARY 26-28, 2017 | 8 P.M. | $5-20 Animal Rites is a one-man show that puts relationships between human and nonhuman animals front and center. Artist and scholar c.c. collins performs as the Animal Parade Krewe, who’ve gathered to celebrate and question the future of animal life on the planet. The cast of creatures guides audience members on a tour of locations, spotlighting environmental degradation and natural disasters from a nonhuman animal perspective.

PETER AND THE STARCATCHER Onyx Theater February 7-12, 2017 | $5-12 Tuesday-Saturday 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 2 p.m. By Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. Adapted for the stage by Rick Elice. Directed by Karen Robinson. Choreographer: Nicole Livieratos. A play with music, based on the 2006 novel Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson and adapted for the stage by Rick Elice. Orphan boys and pirates at sea, a flying cat, an exotic island, two trunks, and stardust. This charming and rambunctious prequel to Peter Pan, told by an ensemble of zany and colorful characters, will capture your hearts and imaginations.
