Directions: From Leduc take HWY 2A south to Glen Park Rd (twp 490) and head east 1.5 miles to Range Road 245. Take RR 245 North 3/4 mile and we are the second driveway on the west side. Enter Avelyn Angus into Google maps to find us!

As I write this in early February, we’ve had some great weather, calving is well underway, and we’re excited to offer our largest and strongest set of bulls to date. This year’s catalogue is laid out a little differently, making it easier to compare young sires and quickly find bulls that match the specific needs of your operation—whether that’s calving ease, performance, or maternal strength.

2025 was a big year for our program. The addition of a new calving barn allowed us to manage cattle even better, and co-hosting the Northern Alberta Angus Tour gave us the chance to showcase our genetics to producers from across Alberta and Saskatchewan. We’re proud of the consistency, depth, and functionality you’ll see throughout this year’s offering.

All bulls are available for viewing anytime from now until sale day on March 10, 2026. We invite you to come walk the pens, study the bulls, and see them for yourself. Thank you for your interest in Avelyn Angus, and please feel free to call anytime—we’d be happy to visit about your program and help you select bulls that will add real value to your herd.

When I decided to use the RAML Potent sire, this is exactly the kind of return I was hoping for. 873N is a big-boned, heavy-muscled powerhouse that brings real shape, dimension, and presence. This bull adds the kind of natural muscle and width producers need to consistently raise top-dollar calves without sacrificing functionality. He does it the right way—sound, athletic, and built to work.

His dam brings added milk and longevity, and she’s proven it year after year. The granddam 872B was a donor cow here at Avelyn and never missed in 12 years of production. This is a pedigree is built on cows that stand on a good square foundation, have udders that last forever and just raise smoking good calves.

873N is the kind you build around. One to keep progeny from—both heifers and bulls! Breeder quality through and through.

One of our lead off bulls in the Power and Performance section of the catalogue is a big-ribbed, heavy-muscled Easy Rider son that flat-out brings mass, volume, and presence. This bull has the kind of depth and shape that stamps calves with power while still maintaining balance and eye appeal.

He’s backed by proven maternal strength on both sides of the pedigree, from cow families known for fertility, longevity, and getting it done year after year. The influence of the legendary U2 Coalition 206C adds consistency, durability, and performance, while his dam contributes added power and pounds. This is a bull built to add weight at weaning, hold condition, and leave behind productive females you’ll want to keep in the herd.

A thick, big-topped RAML Potent son with flawless feet and structural soundness. He blends power and performance with a dam that is a true herd cornerstone— high-performing, productive, and built to last. This bull is built to add pounds, improve the herd, and leave behind females that excel in both function and production.

A big, strapping bull and Dave’s favourite. As the first LVVF Tanker son to sell, he showcases the stretch, muscle, and added lower third that this sire is stamping into his progeny. Power with presence. His maternal grandsire DMM Riptide has many daughters here and they are always a standout on pasture tours.

SIRE OF LOTS 2 and 3
SIRE

AVELYN NIRVANA 042N

BAB 042N is one of the final three calves sired by Pederson Hollow Point, whose progeny is highestgrossing herdsire we’ve used in our 20year program. He’s a rugged, deep-bodied bull with extra width and mass, standing on a strong, correct foot with plenty of bone and durability. His dam, BAB 142J, is one of our elite cows and is destined for the donor pen.

Don’t know his daddy, but you’ll know his calves— meat, mass, mayhem, and muscle for days. Thick enough to stop a crowd, stout enough to throw pounds and build your next powerhouse cows. If you want impact, growth, and a bull that commands attention, this is the one you circle first! NOTE: we are waiting on DNA to try to verify his sire but with 20 plus escapee bulls we are not 100% sure that we have narrowed it down, but we will keep you posted.

BAB 116N is a long, smooth-made bull and another member of the final group of Pederson Hollow Point sons. He’s a soggier-made bull with added depth and capacity, with a large scrotal. This one can cover a group of cows! He offers an attractive blend of length, softness, and sound structure backed by a proven sire group.

He brings muscle, shape, and presence while still tying into a maternaldriven pedigree. On the dam side, he traces back to BAB 172’09, one of the true matriarchs of the Avelyn program, adding proven longevity and cow power to this standout bull.

A rare and useful blend of power and calving ease, BAB 02N comes from one of our favorite and most reliable cows, BAB 02H. Another no-miss Hollow Point son, he offers the kind of consistency commercial cattlemen appreciate—easy doing, sound, and built to work. Backed by a proven maternal line, his maternal sister recently sold as a bred female in the Northern Sale to Clement Cote Farms for $22,000, reinforcing the depth and value behind this pedigree. A dependable option for adding growth without sacrificing calving ease.

Sired by HF HiRange 130L, a bull we were very excited to acquire from Hamilton Farms, BAB 126N is built with realworld function and maternal strength in mind. Backed by a powerful cow family, his grandmother PM Echo 126’15 is still going strong and has solid bull in this very offering (Lot 14)— proof of longevity and fertility.

A total outcross from Dwajo Angus, sired by Duralta 8020 by Design 123K. We purchased his mother from the first annual Dwajo Bred Heifer sale and she did not disappoint. A heiferfriendly bull, that add pounds to his calf crop. He is one you must see in person to truly appreciate. Also as a added bonus he has a super quiet disposition.

Avelyn Angus Avelyn Angus

153N is sired by a new herdsire Crescent Creek Outside 61L, obtained later in the 2024 breeding season we used him as clean up and on our commercial cows. The 2026 calf crop has many more 61L calves and we are very excited to see where he takes our breeding program. He is smooth-made, greatfooted bull, that will give you heifers you’ll want in your herd.

Matt’s favorite bull in the pen, BAB 226N is a calving-ease specialist with real performance. Smooth-shouldered, stout, and wellmuscled, he carries a great testicle and plenty of hair. Backed by top genetics on both sire and dam, he’s built to deliver easycalving babies while still adding growth and herd value. He carries a true Herdbull presence throughout the pen and is always strutting his stuff.

BAM they hit the ground and explode that is what this bull is going to do with his calf crop. His performance and scale bending gains are all wrapped up in a calving ease package. Every cattlemen’s dream right here! Truly he is a wicked bull. We think a lot of this guy, with a ADG of 3.6 lbs per day its no wonder that he is the scale crusher he is!

Calling all steers from the yards… cause trust me he is putting cash in your wallet! The lady 31 cow family is notoriously known around here for fleshy big soggy calves. This guy is no different. We love this cow family so much, at one time we had 18 Lady 31’ cow’s active in our herd. If that doesn’t sell you on him maybe the fact that he is a straight calving ease heifer safe bull will. This is one I would suggest taking a second look at.

Avelyn Angus

A full outcross to our program, sired from a dam purchased from Pohl Land & Cattle in the Ladies of the West sale—one we admire greatly. Round, deep, and structurally sound, BAB 537N is built to breed heifers with ease while making an impression in the pen—power, balance, and correctness all in one package.

Smooth, long, and attractive-headed, BAB 702N combines calving ease with exceptional growth. Backed by a yearling EPD of 110, he’s built to get calves growing fast from day one, adding muscle, performance, and herd value without sacrificing manageability.

A solid calving-ease option backed by reliable genetics that have stood the test of time here at Avelyn. Built with the kind of consistency and dependability you can trust in a long-term herd bull.

A no-nonsense calving-ease bull built to hunt heifers and get them bred—no drama, no excuses. Smooth-made, sound-footed, and ready to work, BAB 31N is the kind that shows up, does his job, and keeps calving season quiet. If you’ve got heifers, he’s ready—let’s make it a date

Avelyn Angus

HE’S YOUNG, But he’s going to be a STUD! One of Kendra’s favorites— His dam is a donor dam that we all love around here. He’s got the look, the flare, and he’s ready to make an impression with the ladies. Sired by our Growth Fund bull who stamps them all the same, he’s built the right way, moves well, and we’d have no hesitation breeding him to larger heifers. A bull with style, substance, and just a touch of swagger.

BAB 418N is another promising young March Growth Fund son. He’s long, deep, and comes from a stunning, highly attractive cow. Solid, easy-keeping, and built for real-world performance, he’s the kind of bull that combines balance, power, and maternal strength in one package.

A bull with a big future ahead of him! Backed by a 12-year-old cow with an ideal foot and a perfect 10/10 registered progeny record he’s built for performance, longevity, and making calves you’ll want to keep. Power, shape, and pedigree all rolled into one— this guy is just getting started.

A calving-ease, extremely angular calf with loads of style, deep rib, and a soft, soggy middle. This one moves and carries himself with style while still offering substance and depth. His maternal sister sold to Poplar Grove Red Angus and has done an outstanding job there.

Welcome to our 5th Annual Bull & Female sale. As the 2026 bull sale season kicks off, we would like to thank-you for taking the time to flip through our catalogue. We know there are endless options when it comes to selecting your next herd bull or replacement female so we appreciate you taking the time to consider our program. Just like other years we are teaming up with Avelyn Angus to offer you a top notch set of Black and Red Angus bulls and females.

The year of the horse is upon us which if you’re in tune with the Chinese zodiac it’s viewed as a year of optimism and opportunity. Doesn’t that seem fitting considering where the cattle industry is at right now! Record prices are being seen on feeder cattle at auction markets across the country and breeding females are bringing unheard of values. It’s a great time to be in the cattle industry and a great time to consider upgrading your herd bull battery for the upcoming breeding season.

The bulls and heifers on offer this year are a group we are extremely pleased with. We’re always looking off the beaten path when making genetic selections and set our sights high to chase the best curve bender genetics we can find. The bulls have been developed on 16% Right Way Classic pellets from Country Junction feeds with free choice hay, oat greenfeed and Uniblock 20% Elite mineral tubs. We have always and will continue to feed our bulls with their future in mind. The goal being to challenge their genetics for gains but keep them in athletic body condition. The heifers on offer stem from our most productive cow families. If they weren’t in the sale they would be in our keeper pen. Bid and buy with confidence on the offering.

The annual open house will once again be on the farm south of Sedgewick on March 8. Come view the offering then stop for some refreshments and hospitality. We welcome you to come and go through the bulls and heifers anytime before the sale closeout on March 10. If you have any questions or would like to discuss the offering, please feel free to give Stacey, Kylie or Mark Holowaychuk (OBI Livestock) a call or text.

On a final note, we would like to thank our customers that have supported our program over the years and to those who have expressed interest in our genetics. Your trust in our program means a great deal. We hope to continue to be your first stop for your bull and heifer needs.
