As an extern at Ballinger, an architecture and engineering firm which specializes in healthcare, academic, and corporate projects, I assisted on several New York hospital renovation projects. My contributions included creating sheets of floor plans and axons, modeling, as well as 3D printing exam and operating room equipment and furniture to aid medical staff in communicating their needs to Ballinger. I also analyzed proposed hosptial plans and identified duplicate rooms to be potentially pre-fabricated.

Page & Turnbull, Inc. - Extern Through UVA’s externship program, I spent a week shadowing professionals at Page & Turnbull, an architecture firm which specializes in historic preservation. During my externship I attended OAC meetings, went on site visits, researched projects and performed Autocad, Photoshop, and Indesign tasks.

Blach Construction Company - Project Engineer Intern Assigned to the San Jose Unified School District projects, I worked on a Project Management team. My responsibilities included on-site visits, documenting construction through progress photos, preparing meeting documents, recording and publishing meeting minutes, preparing and recording bidding documents, reviewing specifications, submittals, closeouts, RFIs, and punch-list items, coordinating the classroom movement pre/post construction, and updating As-Built construction plans. Through my experience in the construction industry I interacted with clients, subcontractors, architects, inspectors, superintendents, project managers, coordinators, and engineers.

RetailNext, Inc. - Project Coordinator As a member of the Project Management team, I worked primarily with international accounts while assisting several domestic accounts. Responsibilities included the organization of installations of RetailNext cameras and software in Swarovski stores around the world and the tracking of stores’ status from the ordering of equipment to the software testing and successful audit. Another responsibility included scheduling service calls for stores such as Ralph Lauren with local technicians, store managers, and engineers.

Academic Experience July - Oct. 2017 Charlottesville, VA

UVA, School of Architecture - Research Assistant As a research assistant for Assistant Professor Luis Pancorbo, I was assigned the Glenn L. Martin Aircraft Assembly Building by industrial architect, Albert Kahn. Pancorbo—who received his Ph.D with a thesis on Kahn’s architecture—provided me with blueprints and photos of construction of the 1937 project. I then produced digital versions of the plans, sections, and elevations as well as a 3D model and axonometric drawings which were displayed in an exhibit on Albert Kahn’s work, Architecture as a Technical Object.
