TALON TALK! NEWS FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 21ST
District newsletter articles Milford’s Budget Reductions Prepare District for State Cuts Governor Kasich released his biennial budget proposal on Tuesday, March 15. From the initial review of the new budget, it appears that the financial planning and budget reductions made by the Milford School District has prepared us for the anticipated cuts in state funding. In January, the district cut $20 million from its budget over its five-year financial forecast. The administration is still in the process of collecting and analyzing the input given by staff and the community for further cost-saving ideas. The district will continue to be proactive and look for cost-saving measures wherever practical. Our goal is to look for savings in areas that least impact teaching and learning.

Family Fest was a great success! The Talent Show winners and the MJHS Staff put on an excellent show! The Family Fest chair people, Robin Johnston and Sheelah Parker, did a great job organizing with the help of their committee. They would like to thank all of the volunteers - it wouldn't have happened without you! A special thanks to Carol Gulick, who is the PTA Volunteer Coordinator and also oversaw basket raffle donations. Thanks to everyone who donated items for the raffles or the event. Your support means a lot!
