Some of the highlights of his career include a longtime stint with Candice Night and Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) of Blackmore's Night, a fashion show for Hugo Boss featuring Gisele Bundchen, and a trip through America's most beautiful natural sites to photograph cars for Korea's SsangYung Motor Company. Other highlights include photographing John Travolta and Kelly Preston for a "Fight for Children" charity hosted by Ports 1961 and publicity photos for Doug E. Fresh, Lauryn Hill, Gossip Girls's Michelle Trachtenberg, Rebecca Gayheart and Cara Mia Wayans. Michael Keel found his interest in photography at a young age through his father's profession as an archeologist. He accompanied his father to the excavation sites where the artifacts were photographed. At the age of 12 he joined in shooting, developing and printing his own pictures. While attending Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, he landed his first photography job, working in the campus studio. New York City was Michael Keel's destination in his early twenties. Upon his arrival he worked as a photo assistant. Two years later he opened his own studio. He started out shooting portraits, expanding his business to include fashion and commercial advertising, architectural and interior design photography and weddings. Michael Keel has been acknowledged for his artistic approach to portraiture in an exhibition at the Bond Street Gallery.

Englewood, New Jersey is his current home which he shares with his wife Joanie and teenage daughter Zoe. Joanie, a former model and fashion designer, is part of his professional team. As a young girl she worked for Wilhelmina Modeling Agency in N.Y., L.A. and Paris, gathering cllients such as Merle Norman Cosmetics and Ivory Soap. She appeared in a long version of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video as well as national TV commercials for Clairol, Listerine, and EZ Spirit Shoes. She has a fashion design degree from Mundeline College in Chicago and prior to working with Michael as a fashion stylist and makeup artist she owned and operated a women's clothing boutique for 11 years in N.Y.'s trendy East Village. With Michael's outstanding promotional pictures Zoe has worked for Wilhelmina Modeling Agency since birth, appearing in the New York Times advertising for Macy's and Saks Fifth Avenue.
