Ke’alohi International Piano Competition Schedule Wednesday, June 15, 2022, 10am – 12pm, 2pm - 5pm. University of Hawaii, Orvis Auditorium Preliminary Round – Day 1. 30 minutes solo recital program. 8 of the 15 top pianists selected to compete in the Ke’alohi International Piano Competition will perform 30 minutes of solo recital program in day 1 of the preliminary round. FREE ADMISSION Thursday, June 16, 2022, 1pm - 5:30pm. University of Hawaii, Orvis Auditorium Preliminary Round – Day 2. 30 minutes solo recital program. 7 of the 15 top pianists selected to compete in the Ke’alohi International Piano Competition will perform 30 minutes of solo recital program in day 2 of the preliminary round. 6 semifinalists will be announced following the competition. FREE ADMISSION Sunday, June 19, 2022, 1pm – 6pm. University of Hawaii, Orvis Auditorium Semifinal Round. Complete piano concerto with second piano accompaniment. 6 semifinalists advancing to this round will perform a complete piano concerto accompanied by a second piano. Semifinalists are accompanied by Dr. Jonathan Korth – Professor of Piano at University of Hawaii Music, and opera coach and pianist, Mr. Maika’i Nash. 3 finalists will be announced following the competition. $10 GENERAL ADMISSION Wednesday, June 22, 2022, 7:30pm. Blaisdell Concert Hall. Final Round with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra. 3 finalists who have advanced to this exciting round will perform a complete piano concerto with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra.
