awareness of my spiritual well-being and of my own inner spiritual power. Paraphrased, The Daily Word, January 15, 2006 Each month this year, we’ve been expanding our consciousness by the study of one of our 12 powers. The focus for the month of May is Power which is represented by the disciple Philip. As was written in The Daily Word….. “Within each of us is a great spiritual power” I believe and give thanks for that power no longer lying dormant. I believe that we awakened and rose up on Easter Sunday to our greatness.

Happy Birthday Unity of Surprise!!! On June 8, 2014 we’ll be 12 years old!!! What would a party be without gifts? Please gift us with your “presence” and if you so desire with a “present” for Unity of Surprise wrapped in birthday paper. Gift suggestions include: gift cards for

degrees, our possessions, our relationships, even more than our bodies. We are worthwhile, not separated from God, but a part of God.

We’ll have a potluck following the service and open presents! Everyone is welcome.

I believe that now that we’ve gotten that we are a part of God, we are awake to our spiritual well-being and power most of the time. We are conscious that Jesus never left this world, that the Christ consciousness is available for those of us who truly seek it. We just need to call it forth. Let’s, as a spiritual community, continue to call forth the Christ consciousness individually and collectively. Let’s continue to feel our connectedness, to function as one unity for the good of all. Let’s continue our upward spiritual journeys of enlightenment. Let’s continue to give thanks for Unity of Surprise and the opportunities it offers us to grow and grow and grow.

I don’t know if it’s my age or my beliefs, but I find that the older I get, the less I worry about how things will turn out.
