my life either knowing God is or that God isn’t.” At this point in my sobriety and in my spirituality, that’s where I’m at, either God is or God isn’t. I can choose one or the other in each moment. With one of those choices my life can be one of joy, right action, abundance, good health and relationships or one of indecision, of fear, pain, lack, limitation and who knows what else.

Summer’s here, a great time to choose, without a doubt that God is. That God is your all in all. That God is power, not simply has power but is power,

But it is a wonderful time for quiet and reflection, and as I remind my relatives, we don’t shovel heat. May and June are so special for our church family. The very successful Women’s Tea, New Member class and welcoming, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Memorial Day, our 12th Birthday, the 4th of July. We are truly a church of celebration and of course, food! But that is food for our souls as well as our bodies. Thank you, Reverend Billie for feeding our souls. And to those who bring the other food! It was so fun to have our first donation come in for our 4th of July music program. Thank you, Beth Weninger, for kicking off this wonderful way of participating in the joy of music that fills our church, especially at holiday times. I love that no one asked, it just started happening and has inspired me to write a check to support the music program for the fourth. Anyone willing to join me? Have you ever noticed how many writers we have in our church? The book signings are such a testament to the creativity of all of you. Congratulations to our authors, Reverend James Crowley, Renee Rojas and Barbara Van Kirk, and Bettie Witherspoon Wright. It is wonderful! So, into summer we go. And with it, our gratitude and thanks to the wonderful participants in this family we call Unity of Surprise. The volunteerism and can doism of our family is inspiring. Happy summer. We love you all, wherever you may decide to hang out—in and out of the heat! If you are out of the valley for the summer, don’t forget us. We keep keeping on, heat and all. Love, Carolyn
