Youth Drawing Class KCAD Continuing Studies | kcad.edu/cs

INTRO — Greetings from KCAD! At one time or another, every child has yearned for their moment in the spotlight. But too often, children shy away from opportunities because they get caught up in thinking about what they can’t do rather than embracing the enormous possibilities that lay before them.

That’s why Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University’s Continuing Studies program is rolling out a new and improved lineup of youth course offerings designed to help young learners discover where their interests, skills, and abilities lie by exploring their own creative potential. Activate your child’s natural curiosity through experiences that will help them shape their own unique identity, all while showing them just how entertaining learning can be.

Your child can experience the magic of the movies in the new iMovie Trailer class (p. 8), where they’ll team up with classmates to brainstorm, storyboard, shoot, and star in a trailer for their very own Hollywood blockbuster. For the video game lovers, the new Intro to 3D Video Game Art class (p. 11) offers a chance to learn hands-on how the visuals of video games are brought to life. Or, try the new iPhone or iPad Digital Art class (p. 12), where children can come to see their mobile devices as more than a means for texting, gaming, and surfing the web by experimenting with cool free creative apps to make art. So what are you waiting for? Enroll your child in a class today see what happens when you let their creativity take center stage!
