FLAGSHIP STORE

for AGANOVICH (7,000 sq ft) The design concept explores perspectival view as a visual element, where each visitor’s progression through space offers its own optical patterns. The interplay of light & shadow with material translucency and reflectivity creates further layers of visual and tactile intricacy. The design embodies calm, airy atmosphere, while still maintaining dynamic aesthetic of the fashion brand.

HOSPITALITY

WASHINGTON HOTEL

(17,000 sq ft) Located at 600 Washington Square Park, the ten-guestroom boutique hotel is rooted in the concepts of gravity and escapism. The design underlines the heaviness present in the structure and materiality of the existing architecture, while creating spatial sequences that foster sense of connectedness and mystery. Both antiques and contemporary art/design pieces inhabit the spaces, where time-based, site-specific video/sound installations add layers of light and motion to the multisensory experience.

figure-ground ambiguity.

RESEARCH

COMPONENTS & PATTERNS The projects explore

spatial and surface effects produced through repetition & variance.

The focus is on the issues of order, variance, grouping, continuity, tactility, and sensation. Concepts of modular assemblages, cellular clusters, and serial iterations are investigated.
