Artistic Statement Architecture is about the process--the journey of discover y, both in the design and on the personal level. The true beauty of architecture lies in the first intuitive moves, when the end result is merely a fuzzy idea. The design unfolds itself as the intuitive process continues, with more pragmatic issues entering the equation. Through the act of making a par t of the ar tist is infused in the work--this is where the true beauty lies.

Studi-EAUX “Creating a Measure in the Landscape: The Buoy Project” The Buoy Project was the result of an immersive study of the landscape at Chenier au Tigre [In Louisiana’s Chenier Plain + Wetland region].Chenier au Tigre was once a thriving community, but has now been left to return to it’s natural state; however, ar tifacts from its past human inhabitance can be found amongst the landscape to tell the stor y. The oak groves on Chenier au Tigre are vital to both the Chenier and the marsh beyond--their roots prevent severe erosion from storm surge . A unique space is created within--a space between the constant flow of the Gulf of Mexico and the marsh. The oak grove becomes a room within the landscape , with a delicate line of inside and outsie . The buoys map this tree space .
