This past summer I decided that I wanted to explore what the world had to offer. I found myself getting on a plane to head to Thailand for six weeks. I backpacked with the travel group Life Before Work. We started in the south of Thailand visiting the most beautiful islands and experiencing the most breath taking beaches all while working on our tans. We then ventured north to Kanchanburi where we visited the Tiger Temple were we played and bathed 12 month old tigers, bathed elephants and visited the most breathtaking waterfalls. We then travelled to Singburi were we stayed at a homestay, taught Thai children English, visited temples. My summer vacation was an amazing experience not only did I get to experience Thai Culture first hand I also got to meet amazing people along the way.

My soccer story start at the age of 12 when my mom enrolled me in the Camrose soccer association program. From my first game of out door soccer, I instantly fell in love with the game. I played both indoor and outdoor soccer in Camrose till the age of 18 at which I unfortunately had to quite playing due to there being no league in Camrose for adult . I was still able to keep involved with soccer through coaching under 12 and under 14 girls soccer for the next three years. When I moved to Red Deer I joined the Red Deer college rec soccer team and have been playing indoor soccer with them for the past two years. I attended a school un Camrose called Sifton kindergarten through to grade eight then continued my high school education at the Camrose Composite high school graduating in 2005. After taking five years away from school I am working towards my bachelor of education with a minor in physical education at Red Deer College then transferring to the University of Alberta.
