The name’s Lucy, Lucy in Disguise. I'm guessing you’ve probably heard of me...I’m just that kind of girl. What can I say? That I cavorted my way through the 20s? Put on the Ritz in the30s? Dug for victory in the 40s? Rocked and rolled around that clock in the 50s? Wigged out in the 60s? Disco danced the 70s away? Worked it in the 80s, and totally slacked off all the way through the 90's? Guilty, babes. Guilty as charged. Hell– I was wearing vintage when it was brand new! And if there’s been one constant, as I skip from decade to decade, city to city, scene to scene, it’s been clothes. Party dresses and cool coats, killer shirts and to-die-for tops. Hats and bags, sunglasses and jewellery! And now (a drumroll please!) I’m opening my wardrobe to all of you. Mix it, match it, clash it, bash it, and create! Pop straight out of the pages of fashion history! Or, make it up! You can become your own style icon, you know. I trust you, darling. I know whatever you come up with will be just fabulous!

us to take charge. Rosie the Riveter told us, We Can Do It! And we did, dears, we did! Now you can, too! Take charge! And of course I had to bring you some darling dresses from the 1950s. I just couldn't bear denying you the chance to feel as pretty as a picture! Women in this decade took their femininty to another level! Curves, galore! The hourglass reigned supreme. A lady wouldn't be caught dead without every tendril in place! Glam it up, girls. You look gorgeous! Finally, i'm throwing in a wild card. The 80s! No more hippie threads for these bad chics. Bright colors, bold looks, and strong shapes; girls in the 80s were fierce females! It's time to break out the hairspray and pump up the volume, ladies! Show some attitude! Listen: the truth is, we are sexy, sophisticated, and confident women–but deep down, we still love to play the game. Yes, ladies? All right then! It’s time for dress-up!

This season, I'm bringing you absolutely stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces from some of my favorite decades. First the 20s! Obviously! Women in the 1920s broke the mold, ladies! I just know you'll be inspired by their snazzy, saucy apparel. They took a stand against the status quo and paved the way for fashionistas like us to express ourselves the way we do today. No fear! Then, the 40s! All over the world, this decade sparked a brand new time for women. A time of work! With our boys off to war, it was up to

The only question left is: Who do YOU want to be today?

Hi-ya, baby, the times are roaring, and I feel like the bee's knees. Crank up razzle-dazzle! And how! Slick, today I am a luxuriously lovely and lacy lady! You may think that a lady should be a little more proper. Well that’s just baloney!

D

If you’ve got a beef with it, you can just dry up. Pipe down, and don’t be a pill! I’ve got thegams to pull this off. And baby I just know you think I’m a real doll. I’m stuck on you, daddy–and I know you’re stuck on me! Why wouldn’t you be? I’m a luxuriously lovely and lacy lady. Let’s get all spiffy and you can take me out on the town. I hear there’s a swell new juice joint down the street–real swanky! A perfect place when you’ve got glad rags like these! Now I’ve got an edge, and baby you're starting to look really keen. We’re just a couple of night owls, baby. I’ve got it, and so do you. I am no rag-a-muffin, Mac. I am the cat’s meow. I am a real sheba. The city is ours, and I am a luxuriously lovely and lacy lady.

A We can do it! We’re in the money. It’s time for us to take charge. Today I am a dramatically daring and dazzling dame.

B

These new threads have go me feeling like a bright young thing. Shapeless tunics with sky high hemlines, well that’s just old hat, duchess. It’s time to get a little more structured. It's time to show what I’ve got. Nothing is wrong with one crisp, clean pallette. Maybe a red lip. Keep it classy. Keep it clean. I’m on my way to 42nd st, and no one will stand in my way–not with these new drapes I’ve got in tow. I am a dramatically daring and dazzling dame. Boy, they’ll be calling me a city slicker in no time.

C

I feel incredibly sophisticated and all ginned up! My sillhouette is strong, confident, and sexy–can’t you just tell that I’m a force to be reckoned with? Truly, I am a dramatically daring and dazzling dame.

Perfectly pretty, pink, and poised. I am a girl, and proud of it. Always graceful, always sweet. Always dressed to kill, as they say. Today, I am a fantastically frilly feminine gal.

B C

Our eyes meet across the crowded room. I may act demure at first–I turn my eyes down, and I pretend as if I haven’t even seen you. When of course, I have. How could I miss you, the most handsome man in the room? But when I saché past, swishing the folds of my skirt oh-so-flirtatiously, you know I’ve seen you too, darling. You just can’t help but notice how lovely I look in my gorgeous dress, with shoes to match. And I just can’t help but notice you noticing... Don’t fight it, love! Let’s toss caution to the wind! Let’s be swept away by the romance! My dearest, we only live once. And today, I am a fantastically frilly feminine gal! Oh, when I twirl my skirt whirls and when I whirl my skirt twirls. Spin me across the dance floor, sweetheart. Today, love is in the air, and I am a fantastically frilly feminine gal.

Today, I am the chick who bring a little color into your life. Wait– not a little. A lot. Today, I am a totally rad bodacious babe. I will rock the scrunchie. My earrings will be gold, gemtastic masterpieces. I am not afraid of acid wash.

B

Patterns a’plenty, babe. I will wear as many colors as it takes for the word clash to become obsolete. And I will look and feel awesome. I am a totally rad bodacious babe. Bold Brows, coral lips, and blue eyeshadow. Mall hair. Blow-outs. I will tease and spray and tease and spray–well, you get the picture– until it like, defies gravity. You’ll want to touch it just to see if it’s real. But don’t even think about it, dweeb. Barf me out. You think I’ll fall for your cheesy lines? Puhlease. Don’t act like I’m just another one of your bimbettes. You are such an airhead. I’m not just some lame skank. I’m not some kind of ditz. I’m fresh. I’m bad. I am a totally rad bodacious babe.
