Interior Design Work Sample

MARTINA Looking at the environment of the local Martina restaurant, we wanted to introduce the simple, modern, nature of the brand into the heart of San Francisco’s diverse SoMa area. Annular Ridge focuses on the history of the SoMa area and the strong tourist culture it accommodates as well as it’s evolving history and rapid business development. With this central hub of activity, our design intent re ects the surrounding through conforming curves that contrast projecting fragments to embrace the space. We drew inspiration from the signature dish of the grilled Spanish mackerel to create an overall sense of intimate spaces that resemble the clean, simple tones of the brand but introduce great texture and structure from the culture of the city.

This concept is represented in the unfolding elements that give de nition to grounded planes throughout a Neo Classical structure

SENIOR LIVING The concept of urban divide takes inspiration from a night skyline and linear forms of city architecture that are highlighted by color and light. These elements are infused into space with de nitive organization to support waynding. Contemporary geometry and re ective materials on a smaller scale will create interest and eye-catching spaces. Urban divide uses juxtaposition to create a luxurious atmosphere combining city hotel with permanent living.

THE DOMESTIC ABUSE PROJECT Considering the current concerns of both the staff and clients at The Domestic Abuse Project, the intent of our design is to create an imprinted focus. This idea of centralized space will allow those who interact to feel welcome and safe while also feeling a sense of support and community.

The space will incorporate the use of various ceiling heights, small level changes, and different ooring materials which to create a sense of solidity and inclusiveness. The space will be focused through the use of curves, colored partitions, and centered lighting to be create a sense of togetherness, but also allow a feeling of safety. Overall the use of imprinted focus will create a healing community environment.

GARMIN Enduring Connection is inspired by Garmin’s connection to the outdoors. The space combines natural materials with strong geometry such as linear forms to create an enviromnent condusive to the company’s enduring philosophy. The use of natural materials mixed with strong forms and boldtones will provide a sense of connection with the rugged outdoor lifestyle of the brand to embody the lifestyle of the Garmin user.

FURNITURE DESIGN Misewell creates locally responsible furniture pieces in small batches, that are long lasting, warm, and functional, crafted with a mix of sustainably sourced hardwood and recycled steel.

Adapting Misewell’s mission, the lamp embodies the at lines, two tones, and a simple, clean aesthetic present in the line of products. The nal construction incoroporates square aluminum tubing and 3D printed joinery.
