Wedding

A late September wedding decorated with elegance using vintage details and nature inspired elements. The color scheme constisted of creams, chocolate brown, and pale pink. Lit candles warmed the tables to compliment the branch centerpieces. The bouquets included classic flowers such as roses, hydrangeas, and calla lillies. The table numbers were displayed in vintage inspired easel frames.

Wedding

The place card table displayed pictures of the bride and groom’s family members in delicate frames as well as hanging from a “family tree.” Lace was used through out the wedding, including the bride and bridal party’s dresses, dinner tables, gift and place card tables, and the dessert boxes

Wedding

The place cards included an image of a tree mimics the pairing of natural and scroll motifs throughout the decor. The tree image appeared in the invitations, as well as the wedding cake. The tall centerpieces compliment the high-ceilinged ballroom. With over 300 guests in attendance, the extravagant venetian table offered a large variety of desserts. Treat bags for the venetian were also the favors for the guests.

Wedding A summer wedding with over 250 guests was decorated with delicate, airy elements. The color scheme was creams and robin egg blue. The centerpieces included baby’s breath wreaths and lanterns as well as tall vases filled with flowing baby’s breath, staggered throughout the ballroom. The leaves were painted the same robin egg blue. Small bottles of the couple’s favorite wine with personalized labels made perfect favors. The table numbers provided the names of the guests assigned to each table. This helped seat guests easier.

Wedding Rather than the traditional place card table, the guests were arranged aphabetically with each letter on a different sheet with the assigned table number. Hanging laterns at the entrance and throughout the ballroom complimented the matching centerpieces.

Events

For a graduation party, a beach theme with simple elegance was used as the decor. The centerpieces were created from wildflowers in mason jars. Sand, seashells, and moss lined the tables with floating candles to lit the celebration at night.

Events

Mason jars filled with candles and flowers were hung in the trees to bring the decor into the surrounding outdoor area. An “M monogram of the graduates first name added to the centerpieces.

Events

A surprise birthday event was decorated in a vintage beer theme with autumn accents. Wispy wheat-like arrangements in vintage bottles were used as centerpieces. Lit fabric decorated the center beams in the room.

Events

A vintage pub sign was created to signify the birthday event. A hurricane glass filled with corks was used as a card holder. Guests wore masks of the honoree’s face as part of the “surprise.”

Events

A surprise 50th birthday party was held in an outdoor pavilion with over 150 guests. A stylish picnic with white, deep purple, and blues created the theme of the event. Paper lanterns and tissue paper flowers hung from the ceiling. White lanterns paired with flowered filled cans created the centerpieces. An old suitcase made a perfect card box with a handmade “card sign.

A garland style birthday sign hung at the entrance. A collage of photos of family and friends in black and white created a “50 near the gift table.

Events

Paper pinwheels in patterns and solids added to the hung decor throughout the pavilion. The silverware was arranged in large tin cans to match the floral centerpieces. Custom labels were made for water bottles. Strawberries and angel food cake drizzled with chocolate were skewered as a simpler version of strawberry shortcake.

Events

Pink, gray, and white created a perfect color scheme for this baby shower welcoming a little girl. The “nesting theme included birds, branches, and flowers. Along with the centerpiece, on each table were cutouts for guests to write well wishes for the new baby. A garland style sign with pink tissue paper rose balls hung over the gift table.

Events

Grape vines framed the windows above the favor table. Handmade tissue paper rose balls and small bird houses hung from the branches. A wishing tree was centered on the table for guests to hang their well wishes. Glass candle holders displayed the shower invitation and an ultrasound photograph of the baby.

Events

Apples dipped in candy, white chocolate and coconut, and caramel and peanuts made perfect favors for the guests. Gray and white striped straws with adorable tags created a whisical detail.

Events

Grape vines also framed an adjacent window hanging over the dessert table.

Events

The array of desserts included varieties of cookies, cake pops, and candy arranged on elegant platters and glass jars decorated to match the theme.

Events

A whimsical greeting of pink and gray balloons scattered the entrance as guests arrived to the baby shower. A delicate poem to introduce the opportunity to give wishes to the expectant parents and/or baby girl was displayed at each table.

Events

The non-profit organization, Room to Heal, hosted their 2nd annual Oktoberfest fundraising event to over 200+ people in late September 2012. As a member of the decorating committee, I was responsible for bringing alive the traditional German Oktoberfest decor. The color scheme consisted of white and blue as well as gold accents. The entrance was adorned with a festive sign, blue and white curtains, grape vines, and autumn decor including stacked pumpkins painted gold, hay bales, mums, pumpkins, and cornstalks.

Events

As guests walk into the tent, they are greeted by an extravagant beer wagon display as well as the sponsor board. Elements of traditional German Oktoberfest celebration fused well with the autumn colors of red, yellow, orange, and brown.

Events

Traditional Oktoberfest chandelier-like ceiling decor mixed with contemporary lanterns, burlap fabric swag, and grape vines created a unique flow throughout the tent. The centerpieces consisted of oversized mugs filled with beer and floating candles , vintage beer bottles, candles, and gold pretzels.
