The infrastructure renewal project of the Market Square, emerges as response to the importance of adopting new strategies aimed at modernization and progress of service, due to physical wear and tear of the building, the lack of public space, and frequent contamination of the area. In that sense, through the project we seek to create spaces that encourage activities of commerce and that promote the use of space appropriately, to motivate progress and development of traders, operators, and suppliers.

The Project will provide spaces that heal body and mind, through mutual support between the school, the hospital, and the community, maintaining their customs and creating spaces suitable for carrying out their activities. It is also a place where there will be a connection with nature, thanks to the microclimates generated by the vegetation, in order to carry out activities in the area.

Ibagué´ s mayor defined it as a tribute to the musical identity, flora and fauna of the Musical Capital. With about 25 meters of height, including the base, this figure becomes the tallest in Tolima.
In addition, it is an allegory to the city, since the fretboard represents the sky and the body the urban and rural part with the representative sites of the municipality.

This is a transformation that is not only aesthetic but also functional, with the aim of improving sales by attracting both local and tourist customers.
