HEADWAY WORCESTER PROJECT
Description We are looking for a volunteer to maintain our current website to improve our online presence. We need a volunteer who can add pages and change content, keeping users up to date with our events and news stories. It is possible that the volunteer might train other staff and volunteers to maintain the website themselves. There is an opportunity to work with other Headway volunteers e.g., volunteers working in social media and journalism. Our website address is www.headwayworcestertrust.com Skills required Experience in web design, editing or administration. Good communication skills and a good standard of written English. Commitment Weekly Fortnightly Monthly One-off Other required Do volunteers need to commit for a minimum amount of time? Regular commitment needed to maintain a current, up to date website but no specific commitment required. Location of Opportunity Volunteers have the opportunity to work from our office in Gregory’s Mill Street, Worcester or from their own home. Support Available Headway computers and office would be available, Headway staff would be on hand to support what content is to be uploaded Expected outcomes The volunteer would be able to use examples of their achievements in their personal, work based portfolio and would be excellent for their CV. It would give the volunteer work based experience in this field. All volunteering hours can be used towards V Awards (for volunteers aged 16-25 see vinspired.com/rewards) or a Worcester Students’ Union Award (email email@example.com) Headway will provide references.
