Crossroads

At the Elbe now, the pristine blue water in all its glory

It’s past 6- You’d think the sun would dial down slowly

Yet, it’s at its brightest, showing me such brilliant shades of green

A clear feeling of déjà vu- Where before had this been seen?

There on the sand she sat, building a tower with logs

Right then I was transported, Back Home! Where my heart truly belongs

I felt the breeze in my hair and the sand at my feet

The smell of hot coffee and samosas, now I didn’t even mind the heat This walk had its moments, sometime agony, ecstasy at times

In the end, I found a piece of Home- That’s more than enough sometimes
