Tactical Urbanism is an emerging concept that gives a demonstration of implementable initiatives to the public and deals with short and long-term development, low cost, and scalable measures. The paper proposes the critical analysis of Case-specific walkability issues and develops a walkability assessment tool in three hierarchies of Intersections, Streets, and Neighbourhoods. It aims to understand the loss of walkable quality in neighborhoods and formulate a strategic tactical plan to develop them as a vibrant dense walkable environment. The outcome is to develop the strategic planning framework for walkable neighborhoods through Tactical Urbanism (TU). A tool to break the various barriers in the implementation phase, a method to gain community participation in planning through Test pilot projects, an approach to involve the citizens in the planning process by listening & mapping their issues & establishing a supportive institutional framework, a tactic to re-attract the people to the city’s public space.
