IT'S IMPORTANT TO FEEL GRATEFUL Feeling grateful is motivating. It's a bountiful emotion. Some scholars have called gratitude a virtue.


RE-SET REGRET Expressing gratitude as an emotional practice can help you re-set: How you feel. Hou you see the day ahead. How you see the world around you.


GIVE YOURSELF A GRATITUDE BREAK We can be hard on ourselves as individuals. Our selftalk is often about scolding ourselves, wishing we did something differently or better. Self-talk is often used to voice regrets, mistakes or misses. We punish ourselves for not being all we could have been or not doing all we should have done. Unfortunately, we often take the good things for granted and focus on the negative, in the name of selfimprovement.


COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS Speak them out loud. Write them down Acknowledge them one by one. Expressing your gratitude attitude will help you cultivate feelings of optimism, empathy and wellbeing.


MORE THAN "THANKS" We all know that saying "thank you" is polite and kind. When someong does something nice for you, we give thanks. But gratitude is deeper. Gratitude is about paying attention to what we're grateful for in our lives so we can generate feelings of compassion and kindness toward ourselves and others. And while it's OK to acknowledge that we can all do better sometimes, these realizatios must be boosted by the positive, proactive acceptance that we have much to be grateful for.


MAKE A LIST When you're feeling down, make a list of all the things you are grateful for. This will help you remember who you are to yourself and to those you love and connect with. Your gratitude attidude will help you see what you have, not what you don't.

START RIGHT NOW Gratitude is a daily practice. It can help you have better relationships, improve self-esteem, balance your emotions and even get a good nights sleep. Gratitude is serious stuff. It can help you find the best version of yourself - the one that's kind, loving, patient, generous and compassionate. You'll do good to feel good and then feel good to do good. It's a beautiful spinning wheel of staying mindful and being kindful. Hop on!
