1st July 2013 to 30th June 2014

Responsibilities:

Internal Relations:

1) Initiating and supporting international and national strategies and trends into AIESEC in CityU; 2) Supporting the development of AIESEC in Hong Kong; 3) Conducting strategic planning for and managing AIESEC in CityU; 4) Providing general coaching and education for AIESEC in CityU to ensures sustainable growth, development and performance in all areas of AIESEC in CityU; 5) Leading the Executive Board of AIESEC in CityU as a team; 6) Acting as a Local Committee (Extension Initiative) Representative and the overall responsible to all issues concerning AIESEC in CityU; 7) Initiating and constructing connection of AIESEC in CityU and City University of Hong Kong to ensure long-term development of AIESEC in City University in Hong Kong; 8) Gate-keeping AIESEC vision and AIESEC value in AIESEC in CityU and AIESEC in Hong Kong.

Job Description:

National Level:  Initiate global and national strategies into AIESEC in CityU;  Ensure the alignment of global and national directions in Local Committee (Extension Initiative) level;  Support national development of AIESEC in Hong Kong;  Represent AIESEC in CityU in MC Formal Meetings and Extension and Consolidation (EnC) Meetings to cross-check the national performance;  Contribute in AIESEC in Hong Kong national decision making;  Ensure AIESEC in CityU fulfilling Local Committee membership criteria;  Sign Contracts on behalf of AIESEC in CityU;

Presidential Area: i. Strategic Development  Follow strict the 3-Year Development Direction of AIESEC in CityU set by Executive Board 2012-2013;  Conduct strategic planning under respective 3-Year Development Direction for AIESEC in CityU;  Ensure internal organizational growth;  Lead to set the year round plan and goals for the strategic development of AIESEC in AIESEC in City University of Hong Kong, Session 2012-13| Executive Board 2013-2014 Recruitment President Application – Job Description


CityU;  Monitor the implementation of goals, strategies, action steps and performance of AIESEC in CityU;  Ensure the health and sustainability of the whole organization and every functional areas of AIESEC in CityU;

ii. Organizational Management  Educate and inform stakeholders of AIESEC in CityU about global, national and Extension Initiative strategies and developments;  Manage AIESEC in CityU in overall aspects;  Coordinate the cooperation of different subsystems and functional areas to maintain the synergy of AIESEC in CityU;  Manage Team Leadership Programme with Vice President Talent Management according to the situation of AIESEC in CityU;  Track the progress and performance of AIESEC in CityU and respective functional areas;  Maintain the execution of the Constitution of AIESEC in CityU and the Compendium of AIESEC in Hong Kong;  Provide general coaching and education in AIESEC in CityU to ensures sustainable growth, development and performance in all areas of AIESEC in CityU;  Provide general membership with Extension Initiative monthly updates of the Extension Initiative situation on general areas, and quarterly evaluation and recommendations;

iii. Executive Board Management  Lead Executive Board co-create vision and mission of Term 2012-2013;  Develop and execute a 12-month operation plan aligned with national and AIESEC in CityU direction and goals;  Facilitate the planning process of Executive Board;  Facilitate the current Executive Board for the selection and election process of the next session;  Conduct and facilitate the Executive Board Meetings of AIESEC in CityU;  Provide weekly updates to Executive Board members about the situation of AIESEC in CityU;  Ensure well information flow and transparency;  Ensure team bonding and cooperation in the Executive Board;

iv. Executive Board Coaching  Track the development and performance of Executive Board members;  Provide training and coaching to Executive Board members;  Provide on-going support to Extension Initiative Vice Presidents and Organizing Committee Presidents;  Conduct team building to Executive Board;

v. Advisors Relation Management  Initiate additional members of Board of Advisors for the development and sustainability of AIESEC in CityU;  Report and Communicate with Board of Advisors;  Conduct Courtesy Visits with Board of Advisors; AIESEC in City University of Hong Kong, Session 2012-13| Executive Board 2013-2014 Recruitment President Application – Job Description


 Manage relations with Board of Advisors;

vi. External Relation  Establish, maintain and expand relations with external entities including advisors, partners, alumni and university;  Initiate and manage campus relation for positioning and long-term development of AIESEC in CityU;  Participate and leverage networking opportunities;

vii. Succession Planning and Transition  Recruit Executive Board of next session;  Facilitate transitions and offer support and advice to the next session Executive Board;  Transit skills needed for leaders to current members and Executive Board of next session;

Executive Board:  Develop AIESEC in CityU in long-term and sustainable aspect;  Integrate Extension Initiative as a whole entity;  Update Executive Board with progress and performance of respective general and functional areas;  Initiative potential cooperation among different functional areas;  Transit functional knowledge to Executive Board of next session;  Coach Organizing Committee President and Vice President of national and Extension Initiative projects, events and respective functional team members;  Fill in national surveys and reports;  Share knowledge on national level;  Generate cooperation between Local Committees and Extension Initiative;  Prepare and conduct transition for successors;
