DOWNTOWN BEACH LOFT INDIVIDUAL PROJECT PROGRAMS USED: AutoCAD SketchUp Photoshop Lumion Hank and Anna are people who think outside the box. Their new bright and airy three-story building will have a versatile design that won’t force them to stick to any rules like others do. The open space and large windows allow experimentation with furniture arrangement and a bold layout. The building has industrial elements that appealed Hank, however, Anna would like to add her femenine touch by adding textuers, furniture, plants and more. Tied with modern lights and bohemian accents in the furnishing and decor, the design will ofer an industrial-bohemian style.
coffee & tattoo shop FIRST FLOOR
Virginia Beach, VA Hank and Anna have decided to open their first business in the first floor of their new home. Hank is a talented tattoo artist who will like to share his art with more people. The newlywed couple will like to open a coffee and tattoo shop as their new investment. They will offer a coffee lounge in the first part of the plan and the back will host people that want to get a new tattoo.
The couple has decided to use their 4-year old husky, Max, as an inspiration for their logo. A local artist will paint a mural of the logo on the side of the building.

SAN DIEGO SPINAL CORD INJURY CENTER INDIVIDUAL PROJECT PROGRAMS USED: Revit SketchUp Photoshop Lumion San Diego Spinal Cord Injury Center is an institution dedicated to improving the lives of children and young adults with development disabilities and disorders of the spinal cord and musculoskeletal system. The floorplan and layout will be designed to increase social skills and independence while the vibrant color palette will create a suitable and caring environment. This Center will also give patients the opportunity to interact with an indoor landscape that will make patients’ experience even more soothing. All aspects of this design will provide stress relief and even help soothe mental emotions.
SD Spinal cord injury center
LOCATION: San Diego, CA CLIENT:
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) on Spinal Cord Injury are looking to do a center in San Diego, CA. They provide comprehensive team-based treatment by physicians, therapist, and vocational rehabilitation specialists and they want their first new facility to follow their steps. They are currently only located in Pittsburgh but they would like to share their findings and try their innovative treatments somewhere else.
INSPIRATION: LOGO Northern Lights of Iceland When thinking of the design concept, stress-free was a keyword for this project. Disabled people are always having to deal with everyday barriers. One significant matter is not being able to go to clinics due to barriers such as inaccessibility, public transportation barriers and high unemployment. END USERS: PATIENTS

ALL-OUT INDIVIDUAL PROJECT PROGRAMS USED: SketchUp Photoshop Lumion
The majority of the “college experience” takes place indoors, however, spending time outdoors is crucial to health and well-being. The proposal is to design an outdoor flexible workplace that will be used as a prototype to use in different school campuses and will be a resource for current and future students.
BUT, HOW MUCH TIME DO WE SPEND OUTDOORS? inside buildings inside vehicles outdoors
WAYS TO REDUCE ANXIETY LEVELS
1 out of 5 college students suffer from anxiety disorders from this
Working out in nature helps to reduce anxiety even more than going to an indoor gym. Students tend to skip meals and that immediatly causes tiredness and fatigue. Eating a a balanced meal can help decrease stress and increase energy. Spending time in nature can help relieve stress and anxiety, improve your mood, and boost feelings of happiness and wellbeing.
PREFAB OUTDOOR STUDENT STUDY SPACE The proposal is to design a flexible outdoor study space for students. This project will be designed as a prototype to use in different school campuses and will be a resource for current and future students. The aspiration is to create an appealing environment connected to nature to reduce student anxiety. design ideas • • • • • • •
