Brecon Women’s Festival 27th February - 17th March Wednesday 27th February 7pm ‘Brecon Women's Festival' Launch The Hours Cafe, Bookshop & Deli, Ship Street, Brecon LD3 9AD 01874 622800 / firstname.lastname@example.org This year's Brecon Women's Festival Exhibition explores the theme 'Self-Portrait' and features over 25 Women Artists who call Brecon their home. The exhibition opening marks the official launch of this year's festival, and we are thrilled that this year the honours will be undertaken by Kathryn Roberts, internationally renowned glassmaker and owner of Brecon’s Gate Gallery. The Festival Exhibition runs until the end of March, daily 9.30 - 4.30pm

Saturday 2nd March 10am – 4pm Artisan Craft Market Brecon Market Hall, Brecon LD3 9DA A special Brecon Women's Festival Artisan market celebrating the wealth of creative talent in and around the Brecon Beacons. An array of stalls selling art, handmade crafts & goods, recipes, plants and much more. As always a charity stand will be present - this year, in memory of Lorraine Powers and on behalf of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Free but please book with TB 01874 611622 7pm Brecon Coliseum Cinema 'I Am Not A Witch' Wheat St, Brecon LD3 7DG Brecon Film Society celebrate Brecon Women's Festival with a feature debut from writer/director Rungano Nyoni, who was born in Zambia and raised in Cardiff. A nine year old girl is accused of being a witch in a Zambian village and is exiled to a witch camp in the middle of a desert. Wednesday 6th March 3pm Calan DVS 'The Voice of the Child' Exhibition The Hours Cafe, Bookshop & Deli, Ship Street, Brecon LD3 9AD Calan DVS is an innovative organisation working with women, men and children, to end Domestic Abuse in Powys and other areas of South Wales. Cheryl Clarke of Calan DVS said: 'This exhibition is the work of many local children who recently attended a two day workshop during which we helped children who have experienced domestic abuse build emotional resilience through a mixture of play and talking. We hope you will enjoy the exhibition as much as we and they did putting it together'. 7pm Aberhonddu Angels Bishop Bevan Hall, Lion St, Brecon LD3 7HY Join the wonderful Aberhonddu Angels WI for a special open meeting in celebration of International Women's Day.
