The Radiology Department alone is serving more than 140,000 patients a year, who now receive more detailed diagnostic testing and easier to interpret. According to Dr. Julio Cesar Castellanos, CEO of HUSI, "the possibility of repeating a test is now much smaller, plus shorter study time, decreased patient anxiety and prevention of further trauma during their experience are all advantages." The hospital also plans to expand its physical facilities with a new building, a project that will cost more than $ 65 million ($ 120,000 million pesos), and will be implemented in five years. In this process of technological upgrading, HUSI chose Kanteron Systems over other multinational suppliers to give the hospital a new PACS, diagnostic stations, and integration of RIS with HIS system. Part of the project was the integration of existing systems, (Fuji) among them, because they were not integrated, with the new systems Kanteron Systems.
In the words of Dr. Luis Felipe Uriza Carrasco, Chief of Radiology at the Hospital San Ignacio: "Today, in which we have an extensive range of RIS-PACS options, users until recently have had no alternative but to adapt to what was offered by traditional companies, who (...) are out of the budget of most institutions. For us (...) Kanteron was an excellent choice (...) that promised to fit our needs and the particularities of our hospital, very attractive feature for institutions that have already undertaken the process of digitizing and archiving information. The experience to adapt to RIS-PACS with Kanteron Systems has been an enriching one (...). Their engineers have patiently listened to our expectations and have resolved the challenges that our technology and our minds had. Without any arrogance, they have managed to give an efficient response to the administration of diagnostic images. (...) From time to time we have received updates that fix some of the errors that have occurred or that were introduced by the modifications we had requested. As a user and
